Went as Rick for a work function a few years ago. We were supposed to do group costumes, so i hit up the thrift store and dressed two of my coworkers up as Corey and Trevor. Niether of them had ever watched the show, lol! Just told them to keep their arms up!

So this is something that my friends and i have went back and forth about. A lot of people that ive talked to say that all the friends are all equally friends with each other/there isnt a "main" friend.

Well im here to say Monica is the main friend. When i say this i mean that she is the connective piece to the friend group. Without Monica there is no Friends.

Monica is Rachels ex-bestfriend/childhood friend/room mate. Monica is Phoebes ex-room mate. Monica and Ross are brother sister. Chandler is Ross' childhood friend and by default knew Monica for the same amount of time. And Chandler and Monica engage in romance mid way through the series.

Joey is the least connected being mostly a connection to Chandler, though i argue that he is also Monicas neighbor.

Now besides the social connection they have. Monica's house is also a huge factor in this. Like i mentioned, Monica's apartment is neighboring Chandler and Joeys, its also where Rachel and Phoebe lived. This time leaving Ross the be the odd one out except for the fact that he eventually lives across from them. So without this prime NYC real estate, the gang would have no where to hang.

Lastly, Monica is the host of the group, the leader who plans and hosts all the holidays. Even day to day, everyone always hangsout at Monicas.

And with all that being said, that is why I think Monica is the main friend in her friend group.
