How did Emma Chamberlain do that?

In five short years, she has gone from filming herself burping in her car to hosting the red carpet at the Met Gala.

I never understood why her videos were so popular -- full disclosure: I am old -- but I'm guessing she came up because she was relatable, uninhibited, unpolished and 'authentic'. But now she lives in a multi-million-dollar home in Beverly Hills and Louis Vuitton dresses her for Paris Fashion Week. How do her fans reconcile the elitist, Condé Nast darling she is now with the unprepossessing girl they used to love?

Or maybe people like to see American Dream in action. It's inspiring. And don't get me wrong, I respect the hustle ... I just don't understand how she did it. She's a pretty, young, middle-class white woman so maybe she was destined to succeed. Or maybe the dumb blonde schtick is an act. Or maybe she just has a good business manager.

Someone please explain it to me.

Personally, as an Asian, I am disappointed. I do not think Cardi has any racist intention but her defense of the name being too hard to pronounce is bullshit. Sensen Lii is easy enough to pronounce. The designer spent 2 months to create her look and all they get is “They’re Asian and everything.”

My respect for Taylor would skyrocket if she did something like this
