🔊 Moderation changes

During our busiest week of the year, we will be implementing some changes in our moderation standard. These are not rule changes, but they focus discussion into fewer posts to allow us mods keep an eye on things easier and enjoy the shows as well. Basically, have fun and be nice to others.

You can read the full post about the changes here.

Official Eurovision places to keep an eye on:

Instagram | TikTok | Twitter | YouTube | Facebook | Eurovision.tv

And, of course, HERE, this sub!

🎙️ Mods In Malmö & Rehearsals Coverage

Some of our mods have received press accreditation, which it means... we will be liveblogging through the Dress Rehearsals and Evening Previews (aka: the jury shows) on Monday 6th, Wednesday 8th and Friday 10th May!

Where is the 'live chat'?

In our experience the live chat threads on Reddit are still too clunky to use for our live threads. They're also a pain to use on old Reddit and third-party apps. Until Reddit makes this a better experience, we recommend using this:

https://reddit-stream.com/

Replace reddit.com with reddit-stream.com on any comment thread to get a live updating list of the newest comments.

The man who played Ashley Peacock, Corrie's favourite butcher, is now a real life butcher in Leeds. Can anyone think of any other examples of someone doing a job on screen and then going on to do it in real life?

The man who played Ashley Peacock, Corrie's favourite butcher, now apparently works as a real butcher in Morley, just south of Leeds.
This got me thinking. Does anyone know of any other instances where an actor has acted a job on screen and then gone on to do that same job in real life?

My colleague reckons there was someone who played a teenage doctor on telly and then went on to become a real doctor

How do you do It in the UK to afford holidays that regulary?

So i am from Alicante. The other day i was talking with an English woman that was having some break in Torrevieja.

I was suprised because she was a cleaner at a hospital and she could book holidays outside of summer.

In Spain a hospital cleaner cannot afford holidays.

How is possible you can pay that much to non skilled workers?.

I think I haven´t expressed my question properly:

What I wanted to say is:

Do you get paid that much in the UK to be able to afford a vacation?

Does your boss really let you choose vacations outside the summer?

Is it that easy to find a job in the UK (she told me)?
