Omg Frankie’s worst kept secret is out but his feelings are requited!! Incredible

[–]Yakosaurus 40 points41 points  (3 children)

I'm not really a fan of Angel but that moment was pretty cute ngl

[–]sedinoemis 24 points25 points  (1 child)

I feel exactly the same, happy for Frankie

[–]PBFoil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How can you be happy for Frankie. Angel is a dick. He is way better off without her.

[–]Standard_Coconut_113 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i agree the moment they lost to me they were full of it lol

[–]planeray 30 points31 points  (1 child)

Wife and I have been laughing about them all race. Hopefully the poor bloke can get out of the friend zone!

[–]sedinoemis 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Hahaha I know right, mum and I have been watching every ep like “that boys in love” 🤣

[–]hjkjmm 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Goodluck Frankie, hope you win your real prize

[–]magikarpcatcher 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not me thinking the entire race that he was her GBF (gay best friend).

[–]jbsd2011 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like Frankie was doing a bit of “oyster pegging” too! God bless…

[–]Accurate_Cup_1532 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Only on episode 20 but WHAT? I thought they were a couple the whole time until episode 20 when he said they were just friends. I am stunned. They seem so great together so I am happy to read this.

[–]bellaboo030505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About time could see he liked her from the start. Wish them the best

[–]Remarkable-Lecture86 55 points56 points  (1 child)

Toni talking kindly to the oysters and saying they look like vaginas 😆

[–]Standard_Coconut_113 6 points7 points  (0 children)

that was epic i laugh

[–]TheZanyCat 54 points55 points  (5 children)

They are still. Trying. To make it look close. So embarrassing for the editors.

    [–]ValuePsychological74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t mind, as it was still good to see the others complete those challenges.

    [–]producermaddy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was obviously not close bc the winners left the final challenge before the other teams got there since they didn’t show them interact

    [–]Standard_Coconut_113 5 points6 points  (0 children)

next time they might edit and do oopies and show who won saves time for watching 20 ep lol

    [–]Subdivision_CG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's what you get for putting a luck challenge in the finale. Who came up with this nonsense? Based on the sun it was obvious these teams were hours apart.

    [–]KingoftheHill63 38 points39 points  (10 children)

I hate these bloody needle in a haystack challenges 🤡

Don't forget the 8 hour hay bay challenge from TARUS 6.

      [–]TheOxime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God that one was brutal. It just feels so bad.

      [–]glider521al 10 points11 points  (0 children)

      While watching this season.
"Good that they've learned from past seasons and cut back luck based challenges :) "

      [Penultimate challenge...Sandcastles]

      : /

      [–]iiiinsanityyyy 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Awful for such a massive luck based challenge to determine the outcome of a finale.

      [–]glider521al 8 points9 points  (0 children)

      Agreed;
That challenge should have had a puzzle to it; or it should not have been in the final leg.

Up till this last leg; one major strength of this season was not relying on luck-based challenges.

      [–]producermaddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kinda sucked the air out of the finale bc it made it not close. Like USA finale in with the baby and king cake

      [–]magikarpcatcher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A luck based challenge has no place in the finale. So annoyed.

Honestly if you didn’t have tears during that finale, I don’t know what!! Their excitement and reaction was next level, not to mention the emotion of it all. And then when Angel came running up in her Dad’s jersey, wow. Got me again!!

        [–]random91898 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Well done Heath and Toni. A thoroughly deserved win. I was absolutely BAWLING when they hit the mat. What strength and what an inspiration. I was about to be mad they didn't get the other teams at the finish line so was nice to see at least a few. Well done to everyone on a great season.

        [–]KellyandGeorgia 102 points103 points  (16 children)

So cool watching that back. Heath and Toni are two of the most incredible people we have ever met. They are the type of people who have a lasting impact on anyone who meets them. We are so proud of them and are proud that they represent our season of the amazing race.

The day after we met all the other teams for the first time with the merge in Morocco, we had a hotel room on the rooftop right next to toni and heath. Me (Kelly) and heath snuck out to watch the sunset and had our first ever convo together. Heath said “well we are screwed now, no chance of winning”. And look at them now! I always think back to that convo.

We are spending Christmas in New York with Heath and Toni!

Thanks for being a cool community. Regardless of if you liked or hated us it was awesome seeing peoples opinions and interacting with fellow race fans. Fingers crossed for another season!

        [–]marcuse_94 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the behind the scenes info mate. Hopefully you and Georgia can do an AMA on here or in the main Facebook group or a YouTube video on some things we might have missed as it's cool watching some of the US teams do interviews about their time on the race. Hopefully you get approval from both the network and production. You guys were my winner pick and happy for you guys as superfans you got to achieve a once in a lifetime opportunity from being the reserve team with 2 days notice to have to leave your jobs to make it Top 3 is no easy feat. Congrats

        [–]pantaloonjohnny 16 points17 points  (1 child)

What a cool first convo to have after now haha

And thank you Kelly (and Georgia)! Loved having you along, interacting with us and letting us know of things the edit wouldn't show us. (Secretly) rooted for you as well! Congrats on Top 3 and very happy for you to have made it this far being huge Amazing Race fans!

        [–]scifanforever1980 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is awesome to hear. They were my favourites. Not just because of their story but they genuinely seemed to enjoy and lsp up every moment, plus respect the different cultures. Not that the other teams didn't too. But I loved their enthusiasm. Georgia, as a pescetarian who. Is predominantly a vegetarian I respected you and the food challenges. I'm not sure everyone would have appreciated that or any sickness post event. So we'll done. You were my second choice :)

        [–]Apple_Slipper[S] 4 points5 points  (1 child)

That's awesome to hear! Love that you all are friends with each other!

        [–]glider521al 7 points8 points  (0 children)

        That's Awesome Sportsmanship!
We appreciated your insights into the race as well.

        [–]pointlessbeats 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I weirdly didn’t like you guys at first, but the more I saw of you the more I rooted for you! You both (or you more so haha) had such good temperaments for the race, and it felt like whenever you got stressed you were really good at getting over it quickly and regulating yourself again. I loved how enthusiastic you were before stepping onto the mat for the last time - no sadness for yourself, only happiness for how much you’d achieved! Even if you were secretly disappointed, you didn’t let on and just enjoyed the moment. Such a good lesson. And eating meat for those challenges, truly incredible.

        [–]Easy_as_Py 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You guys won me over when they made you eat meat. Good race, thanks for the entertainment.

        [–]quarrystone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just want to say, I've been watching the race for years and years, and that you've been in here every week giving insights into the season has been so much appreciated. So glad you both made it to the finale. I hope you're both proud!

        [–]seanfish 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Kelly I just want you to learn to cook mate.

        [–]KellyandGeorgia 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Hahaha mate I swear I’m nowhere near as bad as made out on the show 😂

        [–]seanfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol it's all about the edit, you seem like a good bloke and well done for getting top 3.

        [–]EmotionalWeakness892 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your insight on the Race. I doubt anyone hates you, I think fans are just frustrated with the way certain things were handled by the show this season. And you guys were one of the teams in the middle of it.

        [–]Standard_Coconut_113 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hope you had good time with them i wish you were in they longer i really like you both it was nice seeing you show up at the last leg

        [–]Hawk301 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for interacting with the fans all throughout!

You guys were great to watch, and loved having your commentary and behind-the-scenes insights as we went.

        [–]DazedNConfucious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazing! Great effort regardless. Love you so much babe 😘

        [–]TheOxime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having yall around in the comments was great! Yall did a really good job. Damn shame about that sand button though!

        [–]macandpleas 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Stoked for the winners. They were always my favourites behind Pako and Mori.

Also mad props to Kelly and Georgia for hanging out in the subreddit and giving us all the juicy behind the scenes tidbits! Much appreciated

        [–]irl_Juvia 24 points25 points  (2 children)

If I had a nickel for every co-ed team where the woman has terminal cancer to win a summer 2022 english language international version of The Amazing Race I'd only have two nickels

Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

        [–]DazedNConfucious 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Perhaps it gives them a different kind of drive to win?

        [–]planeray 23 points24 points  (1 child)

Man, the stress in everyone is off the charts!

        [–]wonderbeann 23 points24 points  (6 children)

Crushed that after watching the entire season I find this subreddit literally as the winners are announced.

See ya next time I guess.

        The US season just started

        [–]DazedNConfucious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This subbreddit is much better I found as the admin on the amazing race facebook group tends to delete posts. Doesn’t tend to encourage thought provoking discussions as opposed to here

        [–]m-shacklez 22 points23 points  (1 child)

        Happy Heath and Toni won.

Toni was super competitive all throughout the race, loved the fire she brought.

She’s also super funny haha. I love her sense of humor, she’s unfiltered. Love love her! Hope she enjoys however much she has left 🙏🏼

            [–]pantaloonjohnny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't think he'd be a sarcastic type with numbers given he seems methodical, Also they've persevered through the piñata task for four hours I wouldn't doubt it if they'd stay at another challenge like the sand challenge for hours lol

            [–]chmeeeoz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We're onto them now. (I said during episode 2.)

              [–]YungSigma 14 points15 points  (0 children)

100% the pearl dude is going to tell each person a different technique for shits and gigs

              [–]TheZanyCat 13 points14 points  (10 children)

Omfg so the whole previous task was meaningless. Fucking atrocious leg design.

              [deleted]

                [–]TheZanyCat 11 points12 points  (1 child)

It's just frustrating that there's been a whole leg before this, but the cooking demo took so long that they're all tied. Like what was the point of the challenges until now if there's a forced wait.

                [–]EmotionalWeakness892 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's been a common thing this season. Forcing equalizers or forcing staggered start times at random times during the leg. It makes things feel artificial and choreographed

                [–]ValuePsychological74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The US probably have a budget for a helicopter each. Unfortunately Aus doesn’t have that luxury. I didn’t mind, was too busy looking at that gorgeous scenery, incredible!

                [–]Apple_Slipper[S] 4 points5 points  (5 children)

Especially with the hosts' presentation style. Phil goes for a more professional atmosphere while Beau goes for a more casual and outdoorsy (it's what us Aussies do) atmosphere.

                [–]magikarpcatcher 5 points6 points  (1 child)

I have no problems with Beau, apart from the excessive hugging during a pandemic.

I actually like that he does some part of the tasks.

                [–]Apple_Slipper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. Beau is more similar to TAR Canada's Jon Montgomery, where they both do the challenges themselves.

                [–]sootysweepnsoo 3 points4 points  (2 children)

I really wasn’t a fan of Beau’s overly casual (and often silly) style. Especially when he was being stupid with his mat banter with the local who was helping him welcome the teams, I thought he was quite patronizing toward that person.

                [–]Apple_Slipper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair point. He could've been more professional.

                [–]KingoftheHill63 12 points13 points  (4 children)

I hate these challenges for a finale

                [–]redstadt 19 points20 points  (2 children)

Why tf do they need to go a to a resort just to pick up a plastic bucket? I hope the cheque from Mantra was worth that totally meaningless diversion.

Edit to add: And the buckets don't even play any role in the challenge! 😡

                [–]Standard_Coconut_113 4 points5 points  (0 children)

so the lady that watching them gets 3 free buckets to stand they lmfao

                [–]magikarpcatcher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seriously, what was the point of picking up the buckets at a separate location when they didn't play ANY part of the task.

                [–]KryalCastle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Split them apart, bunch them back together, and then give them a needle in a haystack? It's ridiculous

                [–]sootysweepnsoo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Two episodes in a row that Toni has said “vagina” 😂

                [–]Exambolor 26 points27 points  (2 children)

                Heath and Toni took notes….

They surely win from here right?

                [–]bdiddlediddles 18 points19 points  (0 children)

One final task, avoid Beau's hug

                [–]pantaloonjohnny 22 points23 points  (3 children)

HUGE congrats Heath & Toni! They raced amazingly and are really well deserved. I'm so happy for them and I'm glad I had them as one of my favourites from the start. What an amazing story for them.

And another congrats to Toni for being the first female winner in The Amazing Race Australia history! Absolute legend.

Congrats to Angel & Frankie and Kelly & Georgia as well for racing super strongly and reaching the end! And also for dealing with a lot of hate/opposition. Love them as well.

It's been fun following this season which I believe I enjoyed more than most. I hope Kelly & Georgia reveal more insights about the race. They've really made some parts understandable.

Can't wait for the next season which hopefully fixes up some of the imperfections this season.

                [–]KellyandGeorgia 22 points23 points  (2 children)

Will do an AMA as soon as we can

                [–]pantaloonjohnny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

                Awesome!

                [–]MessiMassi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

                yeesssss

                [–]Apple_Slipper[S] 21 points22 points  (2 children)

Heath & Toni winning TAR Australia Season 6 is very similar to Catherine & Craig winning TAR Canada Season 8, as both Toni and Catherine have a similar, if not the same, terminal condition.

                [–]Standard_Coconut_113 5 points6 points  (0 children)

so i agree thats why im so happy they won the race like canada

                  Realistically: Angel and Frankie.

Hopefully: Kelly and Georgia. Gotta love an underdog.

Edit - and Most Deservedly: Heath and Toni ♥️♥️

                  [–]TheZanyCat 21 points22 points  (1 child)

There are WAY too many queue challenges this season. It just removes a lot of the possibility for catching up when teams are artificially forced to wait for each other after one error.

                  [–]glider521al 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only really painful one was the hours of operation board in the first leg of Columbia; before the final challenge and speedbump.

                  [–]yeezyfanboy 8 points9 points  (1 child)

So many single file challenges! Now the third place team is going to be miles behind, it seems like the helicopter challenge is pretty time consuming

                  [–]pantaloonjohnny 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I thought it would be time consuming but Kelly said they were like 5 minutes behind Angel & Frankie

                  [–]producermaddy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Even with all the Covid drama, I liked this season a lot. I love TAR multiple nights a week. The locations and challenges were fun.

                  I hope it gets renewed

                  [–]TheZanyCat 19 points20 points  (15 children)

Kelly and Georgia are fine, but I would be mad pissed if they won after getting to miss 4 legs. Not their fault at all, but the other teams have had to work MUCH harder, and would be more fatigued from the extra legs.

                  [–]lh4lolz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can also argue that Heath and Toni were saved by a non elimination leg. TAR is a game where luck plays a part.

It can... but it can also be completely asymptomatic.

                    [–]bdiddlediddles 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Probably worth noting that it wasn't their preference to sit out. I'm sure they would rather be running those legs and seeing the world.

I understand your frustration but almost half the teams had covid and missed legs, what can you do?

                    [–]TheZanyCat 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Mini-legs for just the COVID teams like eps 1/2 of this season, then merge back with the core group.

                    [–]sootysweepnsoo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had to avoid this post until I finished watching. SO HAPPY that Heath and Toni won. I might have even got a little emotional at their win. It’s just wonderful knowing that although she has terminal cancer, she will be able to make the most of the time she has left.

                    [–]Hawk301 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Man, that ending was way more emotional than I was expecting.

So happy for Heath & Toni, and I'm very glad they snagged it in the end - they completely deserve the win, they put in a dominant performance in the second half of the race, and I love that they're going to get to use the money to do a bunch more stuff and make a bunch more memories together. Really inspirational

                    [–]Apple_Slipper[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Teams drive in their 2021 Nissan X-Trails to the Sun Pictures Gardens and must feed each other 1 full portion of sweet and sour pork using 2m chopsticks to a certain height. Once teams finish the food portion, they will receive their next clue.

                    • Toni: "I'm one of the people who would usually ask for a fork instead of chopsticks, and I hate myself for it."
                    • Frankie yelled his technique to Angel about rolling the chopsticks, which teams noticed.
                    • Toni (to Heath): "If you don't get it in, I'm going to smash you with these sticks."

Teams drive to Willie Creek Pearl Farm. One racer must collect 8 oysters, coax the oysters in chlorine, and then use a metal clamp peg to prevent the shell from closing. Teams must then take the 4 oysters to the harvester. If an oyster contains a pearl, teams will receive their next clue.

                    • Angel & Frankie asked a nearby driver for directions.
                    • Toni: "I talked to them [oysters] like a child. I've gone mad."

Once the written word is correct, teams will receive their next clue.
                    • Route Info: Snail Hunt
Teams must to the mangrove swamps of Broome, WA and hunt for 20 snails. Teams must then cook using the traditional method. Once teams finish eating one snail each, teams will receive their next clue.

                    • Angel: "Are they [snails] being cooked alive?"

Angel: "What a way to die..."
                    • Kelly & Georgia accidentally left their bags in the car.
                    • Heath: "It [snail] was like a 'garlic booger'..."
                    • Angel & Frankie mentioned about that "spark" they started to have during the race, as Frankie then opened up about his feelings for Angel.

                    • Angel: "Broome is amazing!"
                    • All teams didn't read their clue properly regarding collecting the bucket and spade.
                    • Kelly: "This is going to be a wing-it moment."
                    • Route Info: Teams drive to Gantheaume Point, WA. Using their notes, teams must choose a station and figure out the six clock towers found in various locations they travelled to on the race. Once teams get the clock tower order right, the judge will then provide the departure times teams left for the next leg. Teams need to calculate the clock times for the chest lock combination. Once teams unlock their chest, they will retrieve their final clue.

                    • Georgia: "Yay..."
                      Kelly: "Many hours later..."

Incredible run for Heath and Toni! Knew they could do it.

Also interesting to see that three teams from this season made it into the world top-10.

Thanks for doing these! Always look forward to checking your rankings after an episode.

Any news if Paramount has ordered a new season?

How did the ratings go in the end for this season, were they strong?

What an amazing season. Great overall teams. Heath and Tonie did such an amazing job and their so deserving!

These sandcastles looks absolutely painful to do! Could be a slow challenge and could be a lot of luck involved

200 small haystacks is... manageable, although I wouldn't have put it this late in the leg. I suppose it depends on the number of needles.

EDIT: One needle. Damn, that was a hell of a way to go

Anyone know why there were so few teams at the finish line?

                        [–]wonderbeann 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Flights are expensive to Broome, they probably just flew up the teams who made it to the Perth leg.

                        [–]scifanforever1980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just had a holiday there so imagine do :)

                        [–]infinitemonkeytyping 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All the teams there were the seven in Mexico. So I'm guessing the flights from Mexico back to Australia were to Perth.

                        [–]YungSigma 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I suspect that once they got back to Australia all remaining teams were sequestered until production finished?

Plus I imagine it’s cheaper because flights earlier this year were expensive AF

                        [–]EmotionalWeakness892 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Apparently early eliminated teams were already home while the Race was still running lol

                        [–]AngelSG86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So happy with the winners of this season, they really deserved it. They were my favorite team for so many reasons. It was interesting that with so many challenges in the leg, the lead constantly changed between teams and it all came down to the luck of the sandcastle challenge. Yes arguably there is some technique in searching well and not missing the button while smashing the castle. But there is also a huge element of luck in which sandcastle it’s hidden in and the pattern of searching. It wasn’t clear whether they were all hidden in a similar location so following the same pattern should result in finding it at a similar time.

                        [–]PocoBoy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well deserved win by Heath and Toni! I never would have peg them to be the strongest team going into the race but they are really impressive~

As for putting a luck task in the finale, that really is terrible design as it took all the suspense out towards the end. Imagine all 3 of them in the memory challenge together and then possibly a foot race at the end, epic.

Having said that, I really enjoyed this season and hope we will be getting more~

CONGRATS BADASS QUEEN TONI! First woman to win in six seasons! Just queen tingz 💅💅💅

                        [–]literally-a-yak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well that was a mess, but a mess that ended SO well! Heath and Toni were the best!

Edit: also nice to see that our winners were people who raced the entire way.

                        [–]sedinoemis 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Omg. About to be no dry eyes left in here..

                        [–]jhutch2147 25 points26 points  (9 children)

They really need to provide a vegan/vegetarian option on these eating challenges. Full credit to Georgia for working through it, but I don’t think it’s fair to need to bypass your morals for a challenge like this when it could easily be a vegetarian option

                        [–]wilderlens 16 points17 points  (3 children)

Yes there's no reason they couldn't have given her sweet and sour tofu instead. It wouldn't have changed the difficulty.

                        [–]jhutch2147 5 points6 points  (1 child)

That’s what I’m saying. Like maybe the challenge from the first leg at the tannery might be hard to for an animal activist friendly equivalent.

Also where they eat the gross bugs, might be hard to find an equivalent that is as gross for people

                        [–]pointlessbeats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of vegetarians are vegetarian for moral reasons though, and people can argue that bugs are a sustainable source of food so they aren’t always avoided by vegetarians (or don’t have to be.) But every person would have their own opinion on that I guess.

                        [–]mug3n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tofu would be really soft and difficult to pick up with chopsticks. Even with regular sized chopsticks, tofu would just shear apart, so it would absolutely change the difficulty. Though there are vegeterian "meat" options that's really popularized by Buddhist communities so I think those would be a reasonable alternative.

                        [–]bobbysmurda1980 4 points5 points  (2 children)

This is an interesting point, but I think part of the difficulty in these challenges arises from the seemingly 'yucky' texture (intestines, eyeballs etc) that simply can't be replicated with vegetarian/vegan counterparts.

I reckon it would have been stipulated when agreeing to participate in the show.

                        [–]MyPigWaddles 9 points10 points  (1 child)

I’m vegetarian, and if I applied for the race I’d be fully acknowledging that I might have to eat some gross animal parts. But it’s the little ones like “eat this perfectly normal pork” that isn’t meant to be a challenge in itself that feels kind of rude.

                        [–]sootysweepnsoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Not because I have an issue with making it “vegetarian friendly” but because it would remove a lot of the difficulty of some challenges when they’re confronted with a plate of eyes or intestines to eat. Plus, it also throws in the potential of a team forfeiting if they strongly do not want to eat meat, which then results in time penalties at the mat. If any prospective team is a true fan of TAR, they should know that meat challenges feature often and if they’re a vegetarian or vegan, they need to be willing to eat meat if they want to win. That’s just how it goes.

AD BREAK NOW? TRYING TO MAKE IT A CLIFFHANGER? Honestly such a joke.

How'd you like your Hungry Jacks ad to be on right after Heath said "I think i ate too much and got some guts."

Great season! Loved it. Covid ruined it, didn’t like it when teams were in iso for a week, making it hard for other teams to progress but wouldn’t mind seeing this format again with no iso or testing for covid requirements

Also, how long did the entire race go for, for teams?

                        [–]KellyandGeorgia 2 points3 points  (1 child)

8 weeks! Felt so weird getting our phones back after that long! And having our own money 😂

Well done guys! Also wrapt you’ve replied to my message and you’re keeping an eye on Reddit!

Big fans of you both this season !

When Beau said ‘months’ on his IG post, I thought he meant 3+ months!

Curious, how did you get caught up with COVID, was it a routine RAT before your next leg?

Any inside news as to whether or not the next season will go ahead? Beau mentioned auditions are open but it seems to be an expression of interest only at this stage!

Also could you hang out at all with Beau and did you when racing get any time off between each leg!?

                        [–]jhutch2147 9 points10 points  (6 children)

I do like how Frankie is still upbeat and honest even while racing, nice to see him with such a smile on his face all the time

Angel’s response to Frankie made me think being in high school and having a boy asking you to be their girlfriend and you only said yes just because you were asked and wanted to have a boyfriend like everyone else. 😂

Or like "oh god, his family, my family and my entire church are watching this...yeah, I have feelings too Frankie" /trapped, puckered expression crosses face..

Honestly he was so protective and caring toward her. It was sweet, I just doubt it's there poor dude.

I don’t know if she even knew he intended to say all of that on camera, and if she didn’t, it’s not really fair to have put her on the spot that way. It’s not like she could have shut him down.

                        Kelly's suspiciously reddit-quiet tonight

Watching with friends and family to celebrate their imminent win...? :P

                        [–]KingoftheHill63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Waiting for time to run out after you've lost the final leg is the worst feeling. I should know-I've watched the 2008 and 2020 AFL Grand Finals 😭😭

I’m so confused about Angel and Frankie’s relationship. I thought Angel was married? She wears an engagement and wedding ring.

She does- on her right hand

                        [–]literally-a-yak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't notice, but it could be a purity ring that Christians sometimes wear

                        [–]sootysweepnsoo 2 points3 points  (1 child)

They started out the show as “church friends” but it was blatantly obvious Frankie had feelings for Angel, while she had him friend zoned almost the entire way. To be honest, I don’t really think the feelings are reciprocated from her end.

My gut instincts agree with you however there is a lot that we aren’t shown and also people tend to behave differently in front of cameras as opposed to off

                        [–]glider521al 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would have been nice if Scotty and the other 13 teams could have been at the pit stop (only top 7 are shown).

Still a great race overall (despite the Covid Chaos)

Very happy for Heath & Toni, super well deserved win.

Anyone else trying to predict the winner from the post leg interviews? Seeing if teams are sadder…Toni and Heath don’t look too chipper

                        [–]MessiMassi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Haha yes I’m trying to do the same, I’ve been doing it with every episode to try see who got eliminated

                        [–]pantaloonjohnny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Too hard... they all look the same to me lol

                        [–]maddylah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought this at first but then it seemed like Toni was trying to appear sad for the camera, and I was like aha they’ve won

Pako and Mori were posting in here as well and they went out a few legs ago.

                          [–]MessiMassi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

                          They did???? What’s their account?

                          [–]pantaloonjohnny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wonder if Toni actually wrote the right Indigenous word "Gujuguju", but just pronounced it wrong twice (an extra "gu" there somewhere) so it was still allowed to be correct.

I know that this would not make a difference and I wouldn't bring this up otherwise, but other teams have been nitpicked so unnecessarily harshly before, so just want to make a little fairer.

Underwhelming challenges so far for a finale

They could have spent even just 30 seconds showing us the view of the landacape from the helicopter, put on some epic music, like come on!?!

                            [–]Rychu_Supadude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably the result of setting the entire leg in a town instead of a city. Beautiful scenery, but only so many things you can do. I'll remember the giant chopsticks most of all

                            [–]AngelSG86 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Did they show Kelly and Georgia doing the final challenge with the clock towers?

                            [–]pantaloonjohnny 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don't think so. As far as I remember, they usually skip through the third team doing the final task unless another team is still with them.

Kelly & Georgia were my favourite team from the first week, but good to see Heath and Toni win the Race

Dislike that Kelly was allowed to use Charades in the helicopter challenge

I would've done first word then x2 lol

                              [–]sootysweepnsoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was actually thinking that lol I had thought why not write “x2” but then you have to hope your partner understands what you mean by that.

HAHA pointing at the first letter and then pointing at Georgia!
