Tammy & Vincent are one of my favourite teams. Saddened to see them go.
I thought they were a great team but they never seemed to hit their stride
It seemed like a shockingly bad detour choice for their skillset. I reckon they would've survived if they went with the other one
The other one looked much easier
It seemed a fair detour. The easier one took a certain amount of time, yet if you are good at learning the dance then you could possibly smash it out much quicker. Unfortunately they couldn’t.
I was surprised they chose the dancing one.
I'm really going to miss them to.
I loved their lateral thinking, Rubik's cube attire, humour and positivity.
Particularly so soon after Sam & Stu and Jake & Holly were eliminated 😢
The random guy in the hoodie passing by the dance challenge getting clue-blocked haha
I saw that and laughed. This is me in public all the time
To be fair, it was a narrow alley. It's not like he has any other detour.
Really impressed by Jodie & Claire finishing before three teams after the leg they'd had, but I'm devastated by the eliminated team. With two teams in isolation, I feel icky about every elimination, it feels wrong to me.
Tammy & Vincent is one of my favourite teams this season. I’m saddened to see them leave.
I agree with you, they felt like contenders to me and I always love positive, fun teams. I don't envy being in production's shoes with having two teams in isolation, but I wish this had been non-elimination.
Same, but that’s how the race was organised, sadly.
I'm really going to miss them to.
I loved the Scientific Sibblings' lateral thinking, humour, positivity and Rubik's Cube attire.
Particularly so soon after Sam & Stu and Jake & Holly were eliminated 😢
Absolutely feeling the same about everything you said!
I was understanding of one team having an isolation pass because it's a difficult situation to handle, but with two teams out it feels so random. Crystal & Reem and Tammy & Vincent had enough reasonable doubt they could have finished before at least one team on their legs if there were two more teams racing.
Didn't Jamus ask if they should take their bags? Imagine if he told Chelsea not to take them...
Jamus did ask whether both him and Chelsea should take their bags. Chelsea decided against that, which wasn’t really a good decision.
Not even COVID can diminish Beau's drive to hug people
Angel and Frankie have grown on me and they seem to be unstoppable at this point.
Such utter bullshit that Kathy & Chace have skipped 5 legs so far (and counting) and will be able to rejoin the race (when will that be??) when their isolation period is over. How is that fair to the other teams and specially that teams who got eliminated??
I find it odd that Fliss & Tottie and Morgan & Lilli are still in it, not doing bad at all, and getting virtually no screen time it seems to me.
Watch their audition videos on 10play they're both great teams and we've been robbed of seeing more of them
I'm wondering the same thing too. Both teams had been under the radar and were only shown finishing a challenge or reaching a pit stop. My theory is they will last long in the race.
Haha beau actually got his baklava-spanakopita
Scott Tweedie has arrived and he has a perfect smile
PRANK PATROL SHOUT OUT!
Fliss & Tottie have achieved legend status
So funny, a lot of us youngins recognised him and had to explain to the rest who he was. “This guy who pranked people and ran around with ninjas on abc”
I was around 9 years old when ABC3 was created, alongside Prank Patrol Australia. Ah, the memories!
He looks so different now! Reminds me a bit of Richard Madden with that grey streak in his hair.
So happy about that! One of my childhood shows has been given a shoutout!
We're starting pretty much every leg at a clock tower. Could this be our finale challenge?
This has been bugging me for ages - The 10play ads shows videos titled "Getting to know Kathy and Chace" and the rest of the teams but they're not available on the 10play site?
They only have the long written description of the team.
Good recovery by the mums to finish the detour in 8th, too bad they don't have their backpacks
Awkward pedestrian nearly walked through Tammy & Vincent getting their clue
Is anyone a bit bothered by how the Intro sequence and tune was shortened and doesn't show all the teams? What happened to Jake & Holly, Paul & Rachel and Bren & Anja? They are contestants to, and should be included.
It makes zero sense why they shortened it and pretend the first eliminated teams don't exist.
Yeah; every intro I've seen to date that shows the teams in the Australian, Canadian and U.S. version was longer despite having fewer teams.
They have Kathy and Chace. Best team average of the season and contenders to win it all! Survived 7 eliminations already!!
Haha, odd for them to show teams locked away in isolation but not the teams who were eliminated early on. Jake & Holly ran just as many legs but aren't shown.
Kathy and Chace are the smartest racers in the history of the show.
Effortlessly cruising through 5 legs and 4 eliminations.
Highest average of Season 6. Stats dont lie. Best racers
Yes we get it, you've posted the same comment twenty times already.
Was really hoping Chelsea and Jamus would go, Chelsea is insufferable
She really is. In the first few episodes she’s in I thought she seemed like she found be sarcastic, sassy fun. But no, turns out she’s actually miserable, quick to blame and dismissive to her husband much of the time.
Is it just me or does Scott sounds more robotic than the robot last leg? Come on man, channel your inner Prank Patrol!
It's his first day, and if we believe the edit he's just come off a 30 hour flight
He might not even remember the names of the team yet. Lol 😂
I thought he did ok. No notice. A 30hr flight. He’ll be fine😊
It's his first time, he'll get used to it, but only temporarily.
Frankie is covered in tattoos! and Kelly has the hairiest chest of the racers left
My chest hair is shocking, can’t grow a beard but for some reason can grow a random patch in my sternum 😂
Somehow, you gotta hand it to TAR Aus for being able to handle the Turkey legs as well as possible given Beau + production being isolated in Greece
Heheh, too funny. Turkey legs.
That's why they want us to start calling it Turkiye.
How are these episodes coming out so frequently? Wowww so great to have TAR episodes so often.
The Australian version airs 3x a week vs the Canadian and US versions at one episode a week.
I love TAR 3 nights a week. The same network in Australia does survivor 3 nights a week too. CBS should take lessons!
I'm okay if they have 20 teams like this season.
The last season was meh.
What happened with the lawyers? I missed the episode update at the beginning
Still in iso
The producers must be relieved that they did the stowaway twist last year - it's gonna make teams returning from isolation not seem so out of left field
They have skipped 5 legs so far because of COVID. what bullshit.
Yeah that’s pretty unfair. It’s actually an advantage to get Covid if you get to skip so many legs.
Especially for those two indigenous boys. They have always been on the back of the pack all the time, just waiting for their turn to get eliminated. And (luckily), they got covid.
Stuart and Glennon. Easy peasy
They are the best racers to far! Average of 2.5 placing. Odds on them to win it all!!!
Best racers of s6!
A roadblock and a detour?? in a short episode no less?
Kathy and Chace maintain their dominance with the highest average of all teams left in the race!! They survived 7 brutal eliminations and are odds on favorites to win it all!!!
There’s so many challenges that require costume changes this year
I actually like that. Helps to show more appreciation for the traditional activities.
Here's the summary of TAR Australia S06E08!
After AIDA the Robot started to malfunction in İzmir, Scott Tweedie flies from Sydney to Istanbul.
Route Info: Oil It Up

Scott Tweedie fills in for Beau and makes his way to the Pitstop via car from Istanbul, Turkey.

Well, I'd say it's clear who the top-tier teams are at this point. (Although I can easily see Kathy & Chace infiltrating their ranks when they return.)
So they don't have to navigate using physical map now?
Another fun leg with the theme of teams not knowing whether they should get their backpacks and a burned hand.
Probably the shortest leg yet with only 3 aired tasks
Giving teams a phone for navigation is a blessing
The Dragon Boat moms not knowing how to put in coordinates on what appeared to be Google Maps is a bit mind boggling
The post production "GPS computerized voice" was kind of annoying
The Detour felt slightly imbalanced in my opinion, you had a simple wrap something and throw it into an umbrella versus something with actual skills and coordination with the dancing challenge. Albeit, I do agree with another poster that the dancing side was simply about being energetic and for Vincent, he looked quite sluggish throughout those attempts
It is weird to see teams ask for directions in the later half of this episode from the locals while you see Tammy what appeared to be casually using the phone to navigate to the pit stop location unless she was just holding it....
Scott seems actually pretty solid as a host, not as humorous as Beau but simply seems like a easygoing presenter which I like!

Stumbled upon this: there is some truth to Scott and Beau being friends!
I still love Beau but Scott seems like a great host
Why do they keep spoiling the endings with previews of teams being eliminated (before ad breaks)?! It's madness.
Much preferred Scott hosting to Beau.
I knew Jodie & Claire would make it through this episode because when Beau was recapping the current race order, he named the bottom two and then said "but anything can happen in this race!" which he's never said before when recapping positions.
Australia in general have some really weird TV edits. They seem to like to literally spoon feed you the information, and make it glaringly obvious what is about to happen. They love spoiling an outcome rather than just allowing the tension to build and letting the viewers ride the wave.
Ah, well, still enjoying it overall.
Tonight’s dance challenge looked super easy. Seemed like all you really needed to do was perform the dance joyfully and you’d pass. Barista Sisters; Cop Couple; Hubbies; Aunty&Niece remain my fav teams. To avoid covid-New host has quickly learned: Do a quick fist pump not an intense hug! (Where was Stuart&Glennon? Why are the lawyers still in iso-it’s ridiculous!)
It's incredibly messy to have 3 different teams thinking they're in last place
dont get me wrong.
i like beau.
but for some reason. scott just seems at home in this host role.
Yeah I thought the replacement host was pretty good!
I was crossing my finger the whole time hoping it was a Non-Elimination leg.
What is Beau's pronunciation of Turkey?!?
They’ve changed the name of the country back to the traditional name of Turkiye since it was filmed so the new VO reflects that.
I am SHOCKED that I have learnt something about politics/geography from Beau Ryan
The country changed its UN registered name to Türkiye a few months ago
I was just about ready to do a rant about how having too many teams has been the death of navigation/intra-leg travel, and they go and fix it at last!
Chelsea & Jamus actually seemed to go from bickering to bonding, redemption arc ahoy. Is having your backpacks really a rule in the US version, I thought you were allowed to lose them so long as you have the bum bag?
Amazing Race really said "we can only have 1 asian siblings* group at once", huh. (Along with "no Sam shall escape Greece!") But Chace's comment when they met seems pretty ironic now.
I could see how it would be easier for them to send K+C straight from Morocco to Colombia, but the rumour is that Beau was in Colombia which seems like a double standard
