Analysis: Just how bad is the "Plat Chat Guarantee"? (Spoiler: It's been pretty awful lately)

"My preds have been pretty good but there's an expectation now to perform and now I'm nervous, you know what I mean? Like I'm like the... I'm like Global Esports as a team -- the fans are clamoring for for good results they're using their fucking... I've got, I've got betting sponsors @ing me trying to like be like 'oh your preds are so good Bren' and like shut the fuck up Blue Tick like get away from me just get away from my social media post trying to get free advertisement. So there's a lot of pressure on these preds right now to to perform and um... I don't... yeah."

-Brennon Hook, Ep. 173 (Note: Bren got 4 out of 12 predictions correct this episode)

TL:DR PlatChat made 29 "Guarantees" throughout Stage 1 across all 3 regions. Only 16 of the 29 were correct. If you placed a $10 bet against Plat Chat's guarantee before every match, you would've netted a $67 profit.

DATA:

Breakdown of each Guarantee:

https://imgur.com/xW66FMp

https://imgur.com/S8qvSHl

Breakdown by Region: https://imgur.com/xDNy8Kj

Notes:

Credit where Credit is due. Plat Chat Guarantees were 7/8 correct during KickOff. The one incorrect Guarantee during kickoff was KC over FNC, which was by far the biggest upset (based on betting odds) so far this year.

I love PlatChat, this is not a hate post. I do wish their episodes didn't drag on so long nowadays but I get it, Mimi wants to break her 4 hour episode record.

Gambling is stupid. This is not a recommendation to gamble.

Question for the community:

Is plat chat really PLAT chat? Or have there just be a crazy amount of "upsets" so far this season?

Can we see Joel and Shane team again? :)

I am almost sure that Shane and Joel said they had waited about 5 or so events to team. They even stated that they would like to team again. I like how well they work together and how much fun they had. Shane got 1st and Joel got 7th. Green missed out on dodge bolt by about 100 coins which is such a small gap to lose by. I think their a quite balanced duo. So can we please see another team with this duo as I loved it so much!

Is it safe to say Nwpo will not be getting banned?
false

Nwpo and his new team "Anything" just went 3-0 in the Swiss for the MENA Regional 5, considering there's been radio silence from Epic/Psyonix regarding the Nwpo discord fiasco, not even a "we're investigating the matter", it seems like Nwpo will be allowed to continue playing as if nothing ever happened..

Why is 'Suspicious Trench Coat' S-tier on Sylas?

Why is 'Suspicious Trench Coat' S-tier on Sylas?

Once per combat at 50% Health, the holder splits into three copies of themself each with 33% of their max Health.

I get why it's S-tier on Lissandra (the only other one) because of her CC and chance for loot.

But why Sylas over Ornn, Galio and Udyr (A-tier)?
His ability is self-healing while the others provide shields, items and CC that benefits the team.

I'm obviously nitpicking because it's a strong item regardless. Just curious what sets Sylas apart from the rest.
