I always thought of it as one of those things people sometimes say without thinking it through (which would be very Britta). So, she jumped into the conversation with a fairly standard expression of ‘I can excuse (insert whatever) but I draw the line at (whatever)’, but was being impulsive, and thus Britta’d it, if you see what I mean. It wasn’t a reflection of her actual values, just of her behaviour. ‘Absuuuuuuuurd reaction!’
