Remember we have a 100 year gap in between the Genocide of the Air Nomads and Aang coming out of the Ice Berg.

No one should think that literally ALL Airbenders died in one day. Most did? Yes. All? No way.

There was almost certainly some that went into hiding, that got hunted down at later times, maybe even years after. There would be a price on their head anywhere the voice of the Fire Nation can reach.

It's entirely possible that one, aging air bender died *minutes* before Aang came out of the Ice Berg and the Title remains "canon." So I don't want to hear how this breaks canon.

Remember, our characters are not "Omnipotent". If a character says "hasn't been seen in 100 years." They can be generalizing, or simply don't know about some tiny story that happened on the other side of the globe.
