So my dad got me my first 3D printer and i use it in my room where i sleep, is The PLA (for now i use only that) bad for my health? I mostly use the printer when im about to go to sleep. So my dad i worry about it.

I would be very interested to know if you have a partner who was initially skeptical or perhaps even against the purchase of a 3D printer and who was then convinced by a particular model or models that you can print more than just useless stuff with it :'D
Some context: I've been watching the 3D printer scene for a while because I was interested in the innovation, but never saw the point in owning a printer myself until recently. A good friend started the hobby years ago because he works as a teacher at a school with disabled children and has printed many very useful everyday aids for the children (this is by far the most useful and beautiful use case for 3D printing by the way). However, I still didn't see any good reason to own a printer myself. Nevertheless, he has been trying to convince me for a long time and with the latest A1mini deal, I went for it.
My wife was rather skeptical, but it's not as if we "forbid" ourselves to buy anything. She just said "it's your money and if you enjoy it...".
The first few prints were fidget toys, more for fun for me. She was less impressed with them now, but since she works as a teacher, she took the toys to school and gave them to the kids who have ADHD. At least that made her popular in the classroom and was somehow valuable :)
Next I printed a flower vase as a gift for my sister and that was the first moment when it clicked and she understood that you can also print art with the printer:
I really had her on board when I printed a suitable box & inlay for the emergency medication for our dog, who suffers from epilepsy:
But the moment when she said "I would never have thought that you could do something so great with it!" was when I was so annoyed by the IKEA kitchen planner that I built a model myself so that we could set up the kitchen in a more playful way :D
From then on, I had full support for my new hobby :)
