What's going on with the Internet Archive being sued, and what does Chuck Wendig have to do with it?
I recently saw this tweet from the Internet Archive talking about a lawsuit from publishers. Apparently the lawsuit was filed back in 2020 but the IA is filing for summary judgment now. I have no idea what this means, as a non-lawyer.
Why are the publishers suing them? And judging from the replies, the author Chuck Wendig has something to do with it. I've also seen people blaming Neil Gaiman, eg here and here. What's their involvement?
