Polis Äckel-Security shutdown 7" (2016 Imminent Destruction)

Back from the grave for a while and the reason is this amazing vinyl. I don't kow how many will discover this since the blog is dead since spring 2014, this is not a come back for regular updates, if there will be any it will be about new records and since i felt the need to post this vinyl here, lets roll it: Anarchist raw punks Polis Äckel strike again with Security Shutdown an eight track 7 inch vinyl, released by Imminent Destruction. For those who are not familiar with the band, Polis Äckel come from Marche region near Ancona and Ascoli, they started in late 2014 and their name means "disgust the police", there is a brief interview in Maximum Rock n Roll, you can read it here. Their first cassette Wolrdwide Death Culture was a great shit of raw punk and Security Shutdown follows the same pathway: '8 new tracks of fast, raw and chaotic anger! As furious and nihilistic lyrically as they are musically, following on from where their 10 track demo from last year left off, the intensity is raised further with these new recordings, blending Disclose, Shitlickers, Frigora,Anti Cimex, Maquina Muerta etc' they deliver a sonic chaos, distorted and primitive raw punk simillar to Electric Funeral, Paranoid, Death Dust Extractor, Disease, Life Chain, Disguise and the likes. What makes a difference here is the lyrics: Polis Äckel deliver socio-political-anaechist lyrical content instead of the usual anti-war polemic verses calling for social revolt, fiery as their music. As epilogue: This band delivers the goods and is among the best raw punk bands coming out of Italy i can only compare them with Kompott. Security Shutdown is available from Imminent Destruction and also in bandcamp for streaming

Cancer Spreading/Cruel Storm-split 7"

Someone requested "more Italian crust" some time ago, well here is some Italian stenching crust and D-beat: Both bands come from Italy, this split is a new release (it came out in 2009) and almost out of print. Thanks to both bands for allowing to post it
Cruel Storm is a four piece D-beat act, they formed in Cesena and apart from this split they released Clerical Nightmare six track tape on Goodbye Mankind distro/label, some tracks are on their myspace page. Stenchcore crusties Cancer Spreading formed in 2007 in Modena and recorded Stench Core Scum demo tape that was followed by a split w Children of Technology, the split w Cruel Storm and a 12" split w Disköntroll. A new 7", a split w Drunkards and a contribution in a Sore Throat tribute the future plans
The split came out in 500 copies on a co-operation of a bunch of labels (Nuclear Chaos, Last Decay Rec.s Goodbye Mankind, Poseido Rec.s, Blasting Ressurection Prod, Death Crush distro, NKTN Rehorz). Each band contributes two tracks: Cancer Spreading deliver two anthems of heavy metallic stenchcore with dual guitar attack, fast beat that sometimes turns to slower yet steady and powerful and deep low growling vocals, the sound quality is excellent, this is a great piece of stenching crust in the vein of Deviated Instinct. Cruel Storm offer two tracks of raw D-beat that reminds of Anti Cimex with distorted guitar, yelled/shouted vocals and fast bashing drums, their sound is raw and distorted and delivers the goods. The gory artwork is misleading since this kind of shit is usual in grind/goregrind bands, the record comes in gatefold cover with lyrics (in Italian) for both bands.
Many thanks to both bands and esp. Gabri who sent the record, cheers

Wretched-In nome del loro potere tutto e'stato fatto 7''

This is a bootleg of Wretched's classic first ep (after the split w Indigesti) that was self-released back in 1983. No chance to find a lot of blurb shit about this, more or less you know about these vets since Wretched were one of the bands that marked the Italian hardcore scene and along with some others they were the moving power in the global hardcore scene in early '80's : "The band took strong anti-war and pro-anarchist stands through their lyrics and imagery. They also self-released all of their records on a label that came to be known as Chaos Productions. The band lived at the infamous Milano squat Virus, which played host to many classic hardcore shows in the early-mid '80's". Kill From The Heart has a detailed history of band and you will find it here. According to discogs this came out in 1000 copies and included an insert, the title translates "In the name of their power and made in order to destroy the world you live in" or something like that and that's what it delivers: Eight tracks of primitive and cacophonous hardcore with discordant guitars, chaotic drums, basic basslines and sickening vocals. And that was back in the beginning in early '80s.
Here ends the little blurb. I don't know when this bootleg came out, if you know anything just drop some lines.

Quarto Potere/Tetano-split 7"

This is a split with two new bands coming from Italy and deliver some interesting tunes: Quarto Potere (Forth Power) hail from Cagliari, capital city of Sardinia. They formed in 2006 by former members of Bornsick, Vile Future, GxAxP, Imposizione Facoltativa and Abominio, according to their myspace they have a nine track cdr and this split is their first official release. Here they deliver five tracks of anarcho-crust full of energy with some nice metal hints in the guitar works and screamed/shouting vocals. The sound is crunchy and heavy, aggression and wrath are always there and tempos vary from fast to slower parts. Hiroshina has become my favorite track of these days (check the video), apart from all these, they seem to be cool guys and deeply into DIY ethic and anti-authoritian movement
Tetano (tetanus) come from Sulmona, a city surrounded by Appenine mountains, they seem to be a new band too, there 's no any info (myspace or whatever) on the web. They contribute three tracks of brutal crust with filthy guitar sound, there are some breaks with tempo changes, gruff brutal vocals, the bass is sometimes overtuned and that gives a sick feeling.
Both bands sing in Italian and deal with the usual topics (anti-police, war etc). The split was selflreleased in co-operation with Sickpunx distro/zine and ToscanaAnarcoPunx Productions, it comes in gate fold cover including a sixteen page booklet and was kindly offered by Robi, vocalist of Quarto Potere (thanks dude!). For contact with the bands check this page, (there 's some mail and street address)

Patareni/Cripple Bastards-split 7"

This is the split of legendary italian grinders Cripple bastards with the croatian grind pioneers Patareni, released back in 1994 on Regurgitated Semen Records. About 500 copies were made (Davor from Patareni claims about 700 copies).
Patareni contribute six tracks of their brutal old school grindcore(plus an intro and an outro) including two covers (Misfits and Extreme Noise Terror), i really don't know if the rest tracks are original or covers. Cripple Bastards offer six tracks too in the vein of "Life's built on thoughts 7", covering King Crimson's 21st Century schizoid man and Indigesti's "Mass media"(indigesti were a hardcore band from Italy in early 80's), according to inlay's text, these tracks were recorded in CB's rehersal room in autum of '93.
There is a 10" re-release of this on Havin' A Spazz Records with some bonus tracks(21 tracks in tracklist) and some artwork differences.
There are some conflicting feelings inside me about posting a CB record:They would never be considered as political band and there is some bullshit about them floating around the web.. i don't know..
