Senseless/Sirup za Izkašljevanje-split 7" (1999,Abnormal Beer Terrorism)

Its been a while since the last post and a lot of shit happened here:The general strike and protest of May 11th ended up in riot and clashes with cops, riot police acted brutally, a protestor were beaten to death by riot cops and he's still in coma in emergency chamber in hospital, another protestor had a surgery operation to save his life because of spleen rapture (prbly caused by glob hits), many other protesters were injured. On the other hand an outbreak of racial hatred and pogrom against immigrants took place after the murder of a 44 years old man, a few hours later a man from Banglasdesh was stabbed to death, many other immigrants were beaten by neo nazis, they even attacked against Villa Amalias Squat. An attack against Exarcheia Police Station injured a street market vendor. All these and many other shits happened and in a few words, Athens down town became a battle field in a collapsing state which is in free falling and decline and plagued by IMF. Check From the Greek Streets/Occupied London, Contra Info, Indybay etc for articles and information about the situation in Greece.

Now about this split: This gem was kindly offered by the cool guy of Crucified Freedom blog and since i don't know anything about the bands almost everything is blatantly stolen from his post: Senseless were from Croatia and Sirup za Izkašljevanje from Slovenia, the split came out in 1999 by a Slovenian label called Abnormal Beer Terrorism in co-operation with both bands. Senseless were from the city of Požega in eastern Croatia, (foolishly, for a moment i thought they were Nonsense another noisy act from Croatia), they had a split cd with Pro Masa and shitload of split tapes with bands such as Mastic Scum, Dickles Tracy, Sequimos Aqui, Panic Overdose and others, this split was their only vinyl release and band members were also involved in other great bands of Croatian scene. There is no much info about the Slovenian crusties S.Z.I. ,according to KKTZ of mighty Corpus Delicti who was member of Senseless, S.Z.I. had a demo tape.
the split came out in 530 copies, Senseless bring four tracks of heavy crustcore with some metal influences, sometimes brutal and sometimes emotional while S.Z.I. deliver five crust songs in similar vein but a little more fast-straightforward. Vocalists sing in English and Croatian, sound is raw and dissent, and the whole thing last over thirteen minutes.
Check Crucified Freedom for some more details about Senseless, an interview in Bastard of the Week zine and dwnld links of their split tapes, here. Dude, many thanks for this little gem. Cheers!

Agathocles/Patareni-split 7"

AG/Patareni split was released in 1993 by Enemy Music Records and it its another split ep in the endless record list of AG, this time with the croatian pioneers of grind Patareni. Believe it or not, this time AG do not sound chaotic or lost in sonic paranoia:They contribute two tracks with midpaced tempos creating a harsh hardcore grind combination easily listenable, for some weird reason, the first song reminds me of Benediction's Subconscious terror lp Barney on vocals. On the other side of vinyl, Patareni's first song is an Extreme Noise Terror cover(Murder) and sounds ok, what's coming next is four tracks with midpaced/faster parts and a few blasting parts, even with some melodic moments giving you a few seconds to loose... And when the record is over your ears do not bleed and your head is ok and is not going to blast. Yellow vinyl, an inlay is included with lyrics texts with some explanations and special thanks(Patareni's text is in Croatian)
Tracklist
AG
1:Rejected adaption
2:An abstarct

Patareni
1:Griller
2:Debeli fasist
4:Dojdi se jebat protif mene
4:Himna

Patareni/Cripple Bastards-split 7"

This is the split of legendary italian grinders Cripple bastards with the croatian grind pioneers Patareni, released back in 1994 on Regurgitated Semen Records. About 500 copies were made (Davor from Patareni claims about 700 copies).
Patareni contribute six tracks of their brutal old school grindcore(plus an intro and an outro) including two covers (Misfits and Extreme Noise Terror), i really don't know if the rest tracks are original or covers. Cripple Bastards offer six tracks too in the vein of "Life's built on thoughts 7", covering King Crimson's 21st Century schizoid man and Indigesti's "Mass media"(indigesti were a hardcore band from Italy in early 80's), according to inlay's text, these tracks were recorded in CB's rehersal room in autum of '93.
There is a 10" re-release of this on Havin' A Spazz Records with some bonus tracks(21 tracks in tracklist) and some artwork differences.
There are some conflicting feelings inside me about posting a CB record:They would never be considered as political band and there is some bullshit about them floating around the web.. i don't know..

2. Last caress (Misfits)
3. Murder(Extreme Noise Terror)

Patareni/Extreme Noise Terror-The split noiz live 7"

This is the Live Noize split 7" with Extreme Noise Terror and Croatian legends Patareni in a live bootleg that E.N.T. never accepted it as official release, thas how the story goes:
Hadzo, Patareni's old guitarist came to a E.N.T show in Zagreb, recorded it with a walkman, did the vinyl pressing, cover artwork etc and released the bootleg without asking E.N.T.'s authorization but sending them loads of copies for free. Hazdo claims this was an effort to fund hospital fees for a friend who had an accident and assumes this is not a bootleg because of sending tons of copies to E.N.T, on the other hand, E.N.T. never accepted Live Noize as official release because Hazdo never asked permission.
Anyway, bootleg or not this shit includes six Patareni tracks recorded at Ecstacy, (West) Berlin,21.4.1990 and three E.N.T. tracks from a show at Skuc.Zagreb,27.10.1988, the label that released it was Falsanja Kol'Ko's Records in 1990. Six Patareni and three E.N.T tracks is a matter of speaking since the sound quality is not the best in the bootleg world, the kind of noise that Beethoven would thank god for being deaf but a kind of noise that a crustie would prefer to burn some brain cells in eleven minutes of sonic disaster. Enjoy it
