Google Calendar: Client Side Encryption Beta Application

This Client Side Encryption Beta Application (the “Test Application”), is incorporated into and made part of the agreement governing your use of Google Workspace Services (the "Agreement”). The Agreement may be, for example, the Google Workspace Terms of Service, the Google Workspace Services Schedule to the Google Cloud Master Agreement, or Google Workspace for Education Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined in this Test Application have the meaning stated in the Agreement.

Workspace Client-side encryption (CSE) is intended to allow a Super Admin to manage the encryption keys used for an additional encryption layer for events on Google Calendar (the "Test Product"). The Test Product is a Pre-GA Offering. If you are granted access to the Test Product, the terms in this Test Application, together with the Agreement, will govern access to and use of the Test Product.

Setup instructions for this Beta are available through the Help Center documentation from Google and participating third-party key management service providers. Please note, however, that data managed by customer keys may not be able to be restored if the key is lost or deleted. Your keys are managed at your discretion and at your own risk.

Specific Test Terms. The following Specific Test Terms apply to your use of the Test Product:

Third Party Services. Use of a third-party key management service and identity provider may be required to use this feature. Any data processed by and any service provided by the third-parties are subject to their terms.  This includes service availability and service level agreements (SLAs). You are solely responsible for compliance with such third- party terms of service.

Feedback. Google may contact Admins and End Users and request feedback or suggestions related to the Test Product. Customer will ensure that all its End Users with access to the Test Product consent to receive such communications from Google and authorize Google to use any feedback or suggestions without restriction and without obligation.

Service Data. Google may collect additional Service Data (as that term is defined in the Google Cloud Privacy Notice) during the provision and administration of the Test Application, including the following: usage metrics (e.g., the number of CSE events and CSE users).

Technical Support Services. Google is not required to provide Technical Support Service (TSS) to Customer related to the Test Product.

Confidentiality. Information about the Test Product, including information about its functionality and appearance, is the Confidential Information of Google (whether or not marked as confidential).

By submitting this Test Application, you are authorizing Google to enroll your domain in the Pre-General Availability Program for the Test Product.  Your use of the Test Product is subject to the "Pre-General Availability Offerings Terms" section of the Workspace Service Specific Terms (available at https://gsuite.google.com/terms/service-terms or a successor URL)."

By submitting this Test Application, you represent and warrant that (i) you have full legal power and authority to bind Customer to the terms in this Test Application; (ii) you have read and understand the terms in this Test Application; and (iii) you agree, on behalf of Customer, to the terms in this Test Application.
