RB2: Johnson vs Herbert 🙄 • RB2: Johnson vs Herbert 🙄

For the Johnson fans of "he needs more touches." He received his touches last night and he's not that good.

Johnson and Herbert have split reps evenly in camp behind Swift, but one got more work than the other in the first half of Thursday's game.

Johnson started the game with backup quarterback Tyson Bagent, which could signal that he has a leg up for the moment. During the opening series, Johnson rushed for 17 yards on four carries.

Herbert entered the game for the second series, showing great vision and burst while racking up 35 yards on four carries.

Johnson returned for the third and fourth series of the night but struggled to get going behind the Bears' ever-shifting backup offensive line. He rushed for 24 yards on six carries.

Really ugly Caleb talk on the Dominique Foxworth podcast • Really ugly Caleb talk on the Dominique Foxworth podcast

I’ve enjoyed Foxworth on other shows but I was frankly kinda shocked when I tuned into his most recent podcast.

The producer kicked off the show with some good ol’ homophobia, saying that his barber was calling Caleb a f*ggot (he got around it by saying “I won’t repeat what he said, so I’ll paraphrase it by saying he called him ‘weird’ “).

Foxworth then essentially said “I don’t blame him, did you see him swing a baseball bat?

What the fuck? ESPN is obviously trash and has been for quite some time, but this was unlistenable. They could have been saying this about Jordan Love and I would have groaned and turned it off.

Further proof that stubborn, backward-ass old guys just don’t get him and aren’t going to, and that ESPN remains trash in both content and production value.

I deleted the show from my feed at that point, so I don’t know if they followed it up with anything redeeming, but I doubt it

Mitch Trubisky is the best Bears QB of all-time and 10 years from now he will still be the best Bears QB of all time. • Mitch Trubisky is the best Bears QB of all-time and 10 years from now he will still be the best Bears QB of all time.

Caleb Williams is more concerned about getting his bag than winning and he hasn't taken a single snap in the NFL. Missing these pre-season reps is not good. He may end being the 5th or 6th best QB in the division by season's end.

Da Bears could finally go to the next level soon! • Da Bears could finally go to the next level soon!

I’ve been watching the Bears for about 15 years now and I’ve never seen them have a good cohesive o-line. The defense has been dominant, the QB situations were shaky and an offensive weapon usually suffered because of it. But ever since we got a promising cornerstone QB and good skill position players along with a potential top 10 defensive unit we can finally focus on building a strong O-line! IDK why i’m more excited about this than anything else but man I just remember when the guys up front were basically turnstiles. Feels good to bear down rn lol
