Does Bill think the NFL Draft is the NBA Draft?

I feel like he thinks it's like the NBA where all the best players are at the top and if you're outside the top 10 you're fucked. Just heard him say "The Seahawks got an awesome defensive player in the middle of the first round which never fucking happens."

Literally last year the Pats got Christian Gonzalez at 17. Kyle Hamilton went 14 in 2022. Jaelan Phillips 18th in 2021. Brian Burns, Dexter Lawrence, and Jeffery Simmons 16, 17, and 19 in 2019. Tremaine Edmunds, Darwin James, and Jaire Alexander 16, 17, 18 in 2018. Awesome defensive players go in the middle of the first almost every single year.

Ties into the week before the draft when he called this a 12 player draft and said teams need to get into the top 12-13. The NFL draft is like a 100-150 player draft every season there's so much talent that there's pro bowlers and all pros on Day 3 every single season why does he think this is basketball where you need to win the lottery to get a shot at a guy who matters

As a reminder not to show too much certainty in your takes.

Multiple Chargers fans insisting OT and specifically Joe Alt wasn't an option.

Broncos fan saying they won't draft Bo Nix.

Bears fans saying no chance they go WR at 9.

Ravens fan saying no CB in the first round.

A Texans fan saying no OL/WR in first 3 rounds.

Eagles fan saying no DB in the first round, though he was a little more equivocal.

A Raiders fan talking about the wild mocks that have them taking Bowers.

What are some NFL moments where you guys just felt acceptance towards reality?

I think these playoffs were eye opening for me.

I root against all division rivals obviously and have special hatred towards the Chiefs, so this playoffs I was rooting against them in all their games. Vs dolphins I hoped for a miracle but it didn't happen, but it was just round 1 and the bills loss was breaking but was still not deterred because the Ravens were a super team, then lamar threw the int and I knew it was over. 9ers played well and i thought they had a chance but by the 4th quarter I accepted reality that Mahomes was going to win again and he's better than Manning. It hurt watching ot where it was going towards the most obvious ending ever.

I also felt this acceptance when percy Harvin returned the kick and switched off the TV so fast.

Which late '90s and the year of 2000 NFL player (1997-2000 NFL Season) is your favorite in each position? (Choose one from the image in each position)

The NFL today is almost like a different game compared to the way it was played back in the day. The players were often bloody and muddy, the quarterbacks weren’t treated like fragile primadonnas, and the logos and lore were legendary. If you are nostalgic for the Gridiron greatness of the past, this sub is for you.
