"While some on exec staff are taking this seriously, most are not yet doing so. Starting at 10 AM EST on Tuesday, I will ask for the resignation of any executive who retains more than three people who don't obviously pass the excellent, necessary and trustworthy test... I have been super clear about this."

Since Bolt drivers have been awaiting access to Tesla's Supercharger network, this news is pretty disappointing as it likely will mean a delay before GM gets access to the network (if it happens at all now).

Tesla navigation was excellent for the longest time, however with recent updates it often selects routes that aren’t the fastest (sometimes choosing routes 2-4 minutes slower, forgoing faster routes or forcing the driver to select them manually). If not fastest, what criteria is it using when selecting routes, and why?
Also, when arriving at waypoints, navigation no longer considers the vehicle arrived unless the drive is ended (i.e. by parking and/or exiting the vehicle), and after leaving the waypoint continues to navigate back to the waypoint, forcing the driver to manually delete the waypoint from the trip. This is super annoying/distracting whenever arrival does not require ending the drive (e.g. dropping off or picking up kids at school, visiting a drive-thru or curbside pickup).
What happened? 😭

Takker for svar.
musked (verb; past tense and past particple of musk): To have been skillfully deceived, hoodwinked, or bamboozled by an individual who wields immense wealth and spins extravagant tales that ultimately prove empty.

The last month or so has obviously been a very "erratic" time for Tesla.
Lots of lay offs.
Lots of resignations.
Very cryptic statements on projects.
Recently we saw the almost complete supercharger team laid off..
Especially the individuals that were at the forefront of getting the NACS to be the charging standard.
I would have thought that it would be great for the business to keep expanding on vastness, quality, and improving of that technology.
I am a bit confused on what the priority and focus is at Tesla right now.
It seems that with the long awaited Tesla Model 2 it is not going to have its own platform at first or do the unboxed method.
Instead it is going to be a simplified Tesla Model 3.
There is a lot of very cryptic statements about Tesla cars being utilized for computational processing. To be honest I don't know if I see this stuff materializing in the near or even semi near future. There is a lot of issues there as has been discussed here and other subs.
The robotaxi has been talked about a lot but they aren't even at Level 3 technology. It is going to take a lot of time to see Tesla vehicles Self Driving and picking up folks for rides like you see with Waymo but all across the nation.
I've heard rumors about a Tesla Commercial Van which makes sense to compete with Ford and Rivian in that space.
So simplified is the focus of Tesla right now a commercial van to get into that market segment and then a more affordable car to try and get more sales?
Honestly I could see that being an okay business move outside of all this other talk that seems very much like fluff. In a cost of living crisis era and high interest rates amongst other issues it seems like a good idea but this kind of also goes absolutely against what Elon is putting forward as Tesla not being fundamentally a car company..
What do you all think is the focus right now over there?

So much for having a reliable and expanding charging network for our trucks. :(
