Drive is easy to use and gives Android users free online backup storage. That's great I'm theory, however I have lost most of the photos I have taken until the year 2024, because I keep getting hacked and I think it's because of a security flaw in the Google Drive Cloud! Don't forget to backup all of your media files on in another storage platform/device, even if you already back it up to your Drive, because it's common for video and audio files to get ruined when they are stored on Drive.

It's a decent app, but strangely buggy lately. It freezes when I attempt to move a file, forcing me to back out of the app. So I can't sort files. Many of the programs you can open files with don't actually work and just crash on start-up. So I can't edit files at times. And yes, I've reported it, but we all know how that ends. Edit: reinstalling seemed to have done it. Edit 2: and it happened again. Ugh. Reinstalling did not fix it and the forums are not helpful. Edit3: 5 months later, no fix.

Nice design, clean and reasonably intuitive, but extremely unreliable. 90% of uploads get stuck, they don't upload and you can't cancel them either... it's a mess. The only way out is to uninstall and reinstall the all (no, clering cache or data doesn't work) and access Drive using a web browser in desktop mode. Very disappointing, especially since these bugs have been around for years. If you can pay a little more, use a proper storage service.
