I didn’t have high expectations with this film, but I ended up loving every minute of it. It was just more than awesome. It was freakin' awesome. The whole movie feels very much like a modern film of the '90s action/thriller films like Speed, Point Break and Bad Boys. And I mean it in the best damn way.
The direction is truly incredible which quite surprised me, and all shots are amazing. The story is also very well written, it even added full of fun and thrills. The actions are excellent, in my opinion.
Seeing nervous, stressed and completely insane Jake Gyllenhaal with visible veins really makes him sexy, lol. He was so well played as the villain, you can see his veins on his neck and temple. This is by far Jake's best performance he gave since Southpaw. The whole cast is also really good.
Throw them all together with a dash of Speed, Bad Boys, Fast Five and GTA vibes, and you've got Ambulance. I was actually surprised by how good is this movie. I read some negative reviews and I hardly see how some people find it boring, not even a single second was boring.

Watched it last night, and I actually really loved this movie. The drone shots were super cool, and the premise was great, even if it was wonderfully Hollywood.
I watched it mostly because Jake Gyllenhaal is one of my four favourite actors, and as usual, his performance didn't disappoint. He plays a great sociopath I guess lmao.
If you love a good, well made action movie, I strongly recommend this one because it was a lot of fun. Intense, funny, and an all around good time.

The home for the real fans of podcast host, impressions extraordinaire and the Mel Kiper of movie drafts, Mr. Chris Ryan.
We need an emergency pod to hear CR’s take on Michael Bay doing garbage crime. Unhinged Jake Gyllenhaal! First person drone shots! Garret Dillahunt and a giant dog! I can already hear CR’s impression of the driver on the crew who keeps saying “my wife’s bustin’ my balls.”

Just came out of the cinema and I feel sick, Michael Bay needs to be stopped. I enjoyed the story and cast decently but the direction and editing is vomit inducing, so many unnecessary drone shots and edits, repeating the same scene x10 over for 2 hours. Feel like this could have been a really decent film with a better director.

Ambulance is Michael Bay's greatest movie in almost 2 decades and I'm not even kidding, it's a legitimately great movie, Jake Gyllenhaal is having a blast playing a highly energetic bank robber, the plot and concept itself of the movie feels like an action blockbuster from the late 90s and early 2000s in the best way possible, think something like Speed with a sense of Michael Mann's Heat.
It's honestly a really fun and well made movie, and I really think more people should see it because it went under the radar despite being a Michael Bay movie, so if you were looking for a fun recent action movie please do check it out.
