Near Dark (1987) shares three main cast members with Aliens (1986): Lance Henriksen, Bill Paxton, and Jenette Goldstein. Director Kathryn Bigelow made sure James Cameron didn't mind, and even put "Aliens" on a movie marquee in one scene. A couple years later, she and Cameron were married.

In Aliens (1986), the knife trick scene was originally going to be done by Bishop (Lance Henrickson) alone. Henrickson suggested to director James Cameron to have Hudson's (Bill Paxton) hand put on top of his, and Cameron agreed. Everyone on set was told about the change except Bill Paxton.

How did the aliens managed to reproduce quietly and so quickly on LV-426 colony?

Aliens. How did the aliens manage to reproduce quietly and quickly? The first one infected with a facehugger was brought to the colony, and it gave birth to the first xenomorph. But how did the reproduction happen after that? The xenomorph would sneak onto the alien ship and bring eggs with facehuggers (one in each claw) under the terraforming reactor. Then, it would bring another sedated person there, get caught by a facehugger, and after a week, another Alien appears. But wouldn't the colonists notice a missing person? They could find them with the GPS bracelet signal. Also, they definitely had firearms. So, in any case, this would take a long time and be more tedious, not like how Cameron described it in the script.
