Neue Haas Grotesk on Adobe Fonts

I'm a bit new to the world of typography and stumbled across this Helvetica remake called ''Neue Haas Grotesk''. https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/neue-haas-grotesk

I really like the subtle differences between Helvetica and this typeface. The thing is it's insanely expensive if you get it straight from Linotype (400$ just for one computer currently).

I am not quite sure how Adobe Fonts works, which is why I wanted to ask here: If I get Neue Haas Grotesk straight from Adobe, I can only use it in Adobe tools right? So no chance of me using the font for my personal portfolio website for example? I am guessing I have to get the web license for that.

If so, could I just replicate some of the details of Neue Haas by adjusting the letter spacing in Helvetica Neue?

Adobe Fonts subscription

Hi all

Just curious to know if anyone uses adobe fonts on any of there projects? There library looks a lot better than google and I want to have a play around with some different types. I see you have to have a creative cloud license to have access to the full fonts library, the photoshop one seems to be the cheapest at the moment for just under £9 a month.

I don’t use photoshop but would like access to the fonts, is it worth while signing up for just access to the fonts or would I be better looking else where. I was thinking of learning adobe XD which you can get for a similar price so would be tempted perhaps with that sub.

Appreciate any advice, this is all for just personal use and learning

Thanks Rufus

Adobe Fonts - Now What?

Apparently, Adobe Fonts (formerly Typekit) is changing their terms of service in December 2019 to prevent reselling. What that means to us is that we won't be able to use Adobe Fonts on client websites anymore; our clients will have to either sign up for Adobe Creative Cloud, or buy a license for the fonts we use.

Has anyone got plans for this? Does anyone have a similar platform to Adobe Fonts they'd like to recommend, or are you just going to start having your clients buy the license and just use Google Fonts for the ones that don't want to?

Adding Adobe Fonts to Figma?

I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I activated the Adobe fonts, and I also downloaded the Figma font installer. Does anyone know what I should be doing? I can’t access any of the Adobe fonts inside Figma.

Followed a tutorial...still not working. Thanks!

Adobe Fonts is bugged! Anyone else experiencing this?

I discovered this issue last night, and sure enough it’s still ongoing this morning - Adobe Fonts will not sync to the CC desktop app, thus not allowing newly downloaded fonts to be used. When you fiddle around with it, eventually all fonts become unavailable!

To clarify: New Adobe Fonts that you activate will appear under “Active Fonts” on a web browser, however they will not sync to “Active Fonts” on the CC desktop app.

I had a lengthy call with Adobe support this morning about this and apparently they’ve been receiving multiple calls about this issue today. Is anyone else experiencing this? I have this problem on both my Mac and my PC!

Edit: And yes I’ve turned on and off sync, signed out and restarted everything. I gave support remote access and they went through the basics as well. Apparently this is a huge bug, hopefully someone else can confirm they have this issue as well on here so I don’t feel so alone.

I love Telegrama (because of its highly standardised and precise sizing across characters) but it's not quite right stylistically for my current work... are there any other OCD satisfying fonts out there for free or on adobe fonts?

Problem with Adobe Fonts

Hey guys. I am creating a magazine type of project at the moment, and am using a lot of fonts from Adobe Fonts. Every morning though when i open the project up after the night, InDesign tells me that the fonts are missing - even though they are activated and worked just fine a few hours earlier. Sometimes opening and closing the paragraph styles helps, but not always. Am i missing something? I am extremly grateful for any help. Thanks a lot!

Do you guys use Adobe Fonts (formerly Typekit) on your Wordpress sites?

I have a typekit subscription that I use for my Wordpress projects. I don't really use much of Adobe's products beyond that, except for Adobe XD which is free. Unfortunately Typekit is expiring and the only way to get Adobe fonts is to have a creative cloud account. I can't really justify paying for a subscription of apps I won't get to fully take advantage of just to get access to Adobe Fonts.

Aside from Google fonts, do you guys have any other alternative solutions/ideas?
