A place for theoretical discussions about GameStop stock ($GME). Opinions and memes welcome. The "DumbMoney" crypto coin with the symbol "$GME" is a suspected scam and has nothing to do with GameStop stock. None of this is financial advice.

I believe this song's message has been misinterpreted by the general public, since they listen to this song by itself and not in The Wall's context. Maybe I'm wrong, but when listening to the whole album I can tell ABITW Part 2 is not about kids saying: "HEY, TEACHER, F*** SCHOOL". It is about Pink remembering how abusive his teachers were, which is kinda like criticizing the school system, but not really it. I believe people have taken the song as an anthem that states they don't need education, and that all in all every student is "Another Brick in The Wall" (they are all the same). Maybe this song has two different messages.
What are your thoughts on the song's message? Did Waters really mean to write a song against the school system?

Of all songs on The Wall, those two are just so linked together that playing Another Brick in the Wall Part 2 without The Happiest Days of our Lives is like playing only the 2nd verse of a song.
