Before continuing I am a Pacers fan and extremely hyped watching this guy right now so I am biased, BUT, I think you have to add this guy right now if you are in 12T +. No way he keeps this up but it’s definitely worth the add to see what stats he can produce going forward. I definitely expect him to remain in the starting lineup because his defense and praise from Carlisle is immense and he’s just so composed out there. Definitely good for assists 3’s and some steals and could definitely be in for a big second half of the season when / if Buddy Hield is traded. Last 3 games:
13-4-10 16-6-8 21-6-10 (through 3 quarters)
Keep in mind Haliburton didn’t play in the most recent 2 but he still managed a double-double with him in there.
👀👀👀👀
First bro hit that insane game winner over Lebron before being down 17 and now just embarrassed and outplayed tf out of curry. Two nba legends in the same week get put to sleep by a second round draft pick rookie. Mike korzemba better make a video on this lmao

I get the hype around Mathurin. The dude has been nice at only 20 years old, but Nembhard is the guy. I'm absolutely loving him for this Indiana Pacers team & I just don't see how he loses his starting spot given his all-around contributions. Mathurin, to me, looks like a legit NBA scorer, but a big part of me sees him as a Tim Hardaway Junior type. He has the potential to surpass it for sure & I really like THJ, I think he is a good NBA scorer in his own right, but with Nembhard, I see more of a Jrue Holiday, Kyle Lowry type playstyle, hell the last 2nd Round PG that Carlisle had was a kid who is playing at an All-Star level in Jalen Brunson. Apart from being 6'8, name something the kid can't do? If he just keeps working on his game little by little, I think he can be a really nice running mate for Haliburton. The thing I love most is that he can be our secondary playmaker when Haliburton needs a rest or we want to try to find him opportunities to score.
I'm so, so happy we have both on our team & I do genuinely get excited about the fact that we could one day see both of them starting next to Haliburton, but if not, I see that kid Nembhard as a more likely starting player with Mathurin claiming a crapload of 6th Man of the Year Awards.

With Halliburton out for the next two weeks, it's probably worth taking a look at either Andrew Nembhard or TJ McConnell for next week at least. The Pacers are scheduled for four (pretty tough) games next week, as well. Curious to hear peoples' thoughts on who to pick up if they're both available.
Nembhard is rostered in 34% of leagues on Yahoo. He's having an awesome rookie season with efficient perimeter shooting off the bench. He's gone 23-10-7 in games without Halliburton this year and can be safely relied upon for at least a couple steals each game. If you're looking for a bump in threes or you're punting turnovers, Nembhard is the natural first pick IMO.
McConnell is rostered in 32% of Yahoo leagues right now. He's a poor perimeter shooter (.286%) but his assist-to-turnover rate is about 3:1 and he's a solid double-double threat if he's playing more than 28 minutes. Either way, if you consider the shooters he'll be distributing to for the next couple weeks he's worth picking up for the (efficient) assists alone in most leagues.
Anything to add here? Curious to see how they're being treated in points or ten-team leagues as well.

Bulls fan here, I’ve never seen Nembhard play but he stood out to me when we played you guys. He looks like a pure PG who can dish it with both hands. He’s got size and vision, how do yall feel about him?
The comments made by Andrew Nembhard in an interview during one of the games after he had been pulled from playing really indicated to me he is likely going to be the backup PG. He really emphasized that he was there to get more reps at PG and get comfortable with the position. I still expect to see him out there for around the 28mpg he played last season as well, but I really think TJ will be our 3rd strong or going elsewhere upon his request.

Instant foul trouble for Nembhard. TJ got in the game right away, but Nembhard did start the second half.
Winning a game with defense. He and Bruce got after it.
Talk about rising to the moment and seizing your opportunity. So happy for this kid. Played his fucking balls off tonight. Salute!!

I was watching Indiana's game against the Wizards tonight. Of course, Nembhards numbers didnt thrill me, but there was also something else I noticed. Basically during whole game, his position was as a side 3pt shooter. I cant recall a single moment, when they would pass him the ball on side, so he can shoot (1/3 FGM speaks for that - he averages only 3,5/7, 3 FGM). They kept feeding Hield (or Mathurin) on top of the 3pt line, who both had great game yesterday. This is where I need some help from the Pacers fans - is this something they do regularly? Based on Nembhard's stats, it seems like he is always the 3rd or maybe even 4th option and is there for the defense (while not really producing any major defensive stats for fantasy value). Was this just this one game and should he be a long term hold (I am playing 10T dynasty cats, currently sitting in 1st spot), or is this his "normal" while Haliburton is playing and therefore should I rather free the spot for guys to stream/take other guys on hot streak?
