I figured, given timezones, that this would be the best time to post this question.
Considering Samoa and other Polynesian countries have some of the world's strongest rugby cultures, I was surprised to learn American Samoa is the lowest-ranked country in international rugby. Does anybody know why this is?
What are the requirements to qualify to play for the team? Shouldn't there be plenty of American or locally-born but foreign-raised (Samoa, Fiji, Tonga) players who could make an okay team?
