Alive 1997
I’ve been thinking that the robots should just do a full-on rerelease of Alive 1997 to be put out on streaming services, vinyl and CD. The one we have now isn’t even the full concert and for some reason isn’t divided up into individual songs like Alive 2007 is. With all the retrospective stuff that they’re putting out these days, something like this would be very on brand. Their performance at the Mayan theater in LA during Alive 1997 was actually really cool and I wouldn’t mind them just dropping that as something we can stream and buy on vinyl.

I know it's impossible, but I believe it. We can define it as a real lost media. I sincerely hope that one day someone will be able to find at least the tracklist of the complete set since it should be the longest of that tour: Daft Punk have in fact declared that the performance at Que Club (the one we hear on the album) lasted almost 2 hours, therefore it is impossible that they played the same songs as the other sets (Mayan Theatre, Borealis Festivals...). There are also screenshots of a video recorded at the Que Club on the internet. Can that footage be found? Anyone have any information? Maybe the song list?

Vintage Software & Hardware information and stories. A blast from the past.
So I’m currently remaking Alive 1997 to perform around town and It racks my brain trying to figure out all the reversed “drums”? in the set. Usually before every bring back the drums do, there’s one-two reversed samples. I think one of them is a cymbal but I’m not sure yet. I know the reversed tb-303 bassline and I’ve got that but these random “WHOOP” and “SHYOOM” that I hear throughout the song are beyond me. If anyone could provide a sample or tell me the how they achieved that audio that’d be greatly appreciated.
