Age of Empires: Definitive Edition Giveaway

Thanks to u/CysionBE and our other friends at Microsoft and the Forgotten Empires team we have been given 10 keys each for the Steam and MS store releases of Age of Empires: Definitive Edition to giveaway! I'll keep the rules simple - post a comment below with the version of the game you'd prefer to win. This comment should be a top-level comment (I.E. a reply to my post, not a reply to another comment) although discussion is fine. Comments on the game, how the subreddit is going, your favorite AOE memory, or anything else you'd like to share are encouraged. Your Reddit account must be at least 1 week old at the time of this post to enter. I will end this giveaway Friday night at around 7 PST and announce winners ASAP so that they'll have the weekend to enjoy it. I plan to use RedditRaffler to give away the keys fairly unless there's some horrible secret about them I should know. Good luck everyone!

EDIT: If you would prefer one platform but would also take another if I run out of keys for your preferred platform, please mention that in your entry. If you only mention one platform and win but I'm out of keys for that platform, I will pass you over.

The giveaway is over! Winners have been contacted via PM, and a post with the results is forthcoming.

Hey Microsoft! Can we please be allowed to play "Age of Empires:Definitive Edition" if we have keyboard and mouse on Series X/S?

Hey Microsoft. "Age of Empires:Definitive Edition" is listed as only being playable on the PC on the store. I assume this is because of needing keyboard/mouse.

Can you please allow it for the Xbox Series X/S is we have keyboard/mouse? You can do it so the game only boots up if you have keyboard/mouse, otherwise it can display a message saying you need to have keyboard/mouse to run. Thanks!

Microsoft rep: other store fronts need to fully support Windows 10 before we bring Age of Empires: Definitive Edition over’

"We’ve chosen to release Age of Empires: Definitive Edition in the Windows Store and we’re excited about what that entails, including tons of Xbox Live goodness (achievements, cloud saves, multiplayer on the fastest, more reliable gaming network and more)," a Microsoft spokesperson said in a statement.

"Offering games like Quantum Break, Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, Halo Wars 2, and more in our Store has already improved both the Store and Windows 10 by accelerating support for features like unlocked frame rate, and making the overall consumer experience better. Competition on the PC is good for the industry and good for gamers, it drives innovation and more value for customers."

Microsoft is also leaving open the door to bringing the game to other storefronts, eventually: "Before selling on another store front, we want to make sure customers have the best experience, and other store fronts need to fully support Windows 10 before we bring Age of Empires: Definitive Edition over," the rep added.
