And if not, can I still apply for an aerospace company when I graduate?

The company I work for denied me a promotion because I ‘haven’t shown technical expertise’ …. I have a PhD in aerospace engineering. I am literally an expert

No one on my team has been promoted in almost two years, despite hitting MANY milestones during a pandemic. When I asked for a promotion, I was told I do not have sufficient technical expertise in the field (I work at an aerospace company)

I literally have a PhD in aerospace engineering from a very high performing university. I am literally an expert in the very field that I am working in.

Internship for aeronautical engineering

My niece is currently studying aeronautical engineering undergrad with emphasis on fluid dynamics and jet propulsion. She is currently a junior at a school in San Diego. She is trying hard to get an internship but is having difficulty getting responses. Yes, she has gone through the official channels - career counselor, job fairs, etc- but to no avail.

I am just trying to help her out and see if there are other avenues - trade bodies, clubs, etc - where she can join or contact to help her out.

Any help is appreciated.

A uncle who cares..

Astrophysics or Aerospace engineering?

Hello,

I'm trying to decide between 2 fields that I'm interested in. I understand the difference between them, but have no idea which suits me the most. I enjoy both practical and theoretical knowledge. Want to discover and create at the same time. I don't know what to do... I know it's better to study Aerospace engineering because of the career prospects, and not really needing a PhD, but still...

I've been doing tons of research, even going looking for clarifications on social media and nothing changes my mind. If some of you have been in the same situation as me, I would love to hear your story and advice.

Thank you for reading! (Sorry for my English)

What’s the hard truth about Aerospace Engineering?

what are some of the most common misconceptions In the field that you want others to know or hear as well as what’s your take on the Aerospace industry in general? I’m personally not from an Aerospace background (I’m about to graduate with B.S in Mathematics and am looking for different fields to work in!!)

Aerospace Engineering Spain

Hi,

I just finished my degree in aerospace engineering in Portugal and got offered the chance to go to Switzerland to do and internship. The pay is good for an internship, however I don't think I have the economic possibilities to relocate to Switzerland, especially without knowing if I can find the house before arriving.

I was thinking of starting in a country with a lower cost of living like spain. And relocate to Andalusia. Can anyone tell me if Andalusia is a good place to start my career?

Thank you for the help.

Junior Aerospace Engineering student, just failed an unfair exam

Hey y'all, so I got a story and some advice to ask. So, at my university they require all Aero's to take a course called Vibrations. It's often called the hardest course that Aero's have to take. The course is also an Aero exclusive course, and it's only required for our major. There is no homework for this class, no attendance grades, no extra credit, only 3 exams and a final. The teacher gives us "suggested problems" to do and he says if we do them all and understand them, we should pass the class just with an A. I worked all the suggested problems, worked em all and understand stood all of them. I took the exam today. The sea of moaning and despair that swept over the room as we looked at the first question was ridiculous. I honestly think I got a 25 on that exam and everyone else feels the same way. What are you supposed to do in situations like that? We have a group chat with everyone in it, and it was going crazy. Literally everyone felt the same way, the exam wasn't representative of the suggested problems given. Has that happened to anyone else? What did you end up doing in your situation? Does this happen at any other universities? Is there anyway a student can overcome this? Thanks for the responses.
