Ableton
She doesn’t even do music production (she just likes it as a name) so everyone will think it’s my idea. I am an Ableton simp but this is too far.

Edit: I did not expect this post to blow up, and honestly, I have to say now that I have worked with both OS, that Mac has my preference, even though Windows is also good for it, depending on what specs everyone needs/wants!
Oh. My. God.
As the title says, Mac is such an improvement as to how I work with music.
I used to be a Windows user, but Mac took it out of the park for me. The main difference? The Native Silicon Chips. I knew they were powerful, but I had no idea that Pigments (intense CPU-load as we all know) would only go up to around 10-12% of CPU usage?!?!? And the Augmented series, my gooooooooood! On my Windows laptop, it would spike up to 25-45 percent on an AMD chipset. I had to commit to audio on that Windows laptop (I do love that option since it gives a lot of creativity) to not overload the CPU. Now, its a breeeeeeeze.
Right now, I have a M2 Mac Mini with 512 GB storage and 16GB RAM, and a Satechi Hub with an SSD enclosure.
God I love Mac. I should have done this WAAAAY earlier...
So far I really enjoy it. The UI is very intuitive, I keep thinking I'll have trouble finding my VSTs but somehow the ones I need usually end up near the top. I'm absolutely loving ROAR, it has been loads of fun messing with that plug in all day. What are some things everyone is liking /disliking so far?
Let's see if we can create a nice value filled comment section!
What do you think is the single stock plugin in Ableton people should use more or get to know better?
And then i can go fully in the box.
Seriously, the limiter need an uptade, for mastering, and professional mastering.
With no artefacts when you push him hard !
Ohter than that, Ableton is seriously the best DAW for electronic music.
Figured those who wanna flirt with ableton would be into this. I got into ableton by using lite for a while and fell in love with it. Hope everyone is having a great day! Very easy way to enter the ableton ecosystem.

Anybody in here produce rap music?
I have had Ableton for awhile and am trying to get better. How did you all learn how to make rap beats in Ableton?
I ask because all the tutorials I see on YouTube are from really unseasoned people lol. They are decent at explaining stuff but there music just doesn't have that flavor.
I have FL Studio as well. Should I just chalk up spending $700 on studio plus another $200 on the upgrade to 11 and just go over there.
I do like Abletons UI much better its much cleaner to me than FL but idk it seems like everything that comes out of it sounds like a porno beat smh.
An unofficial place for all things Arduino! We all learned this stuff from some kind stranger on the internet. Bring us your Arduino questions or help answer something you might know! 😉
To me it's a native pitch correction, ARA2 format support, better tools for vocals.
What do you think?
I've seen a lot of people recently not using CDJs when DJing at events and rather using just the mixer and DJing straight into ableton. I was wondering how you do that? I know you can set up midi control with a DJ controller but would that not be a big effort and take a lot of time to do between sets? Is there a plugin / software people use? I'm very keen to learn how to do it but could not find many resources on the internet so if I could also be directed to some that would be great !
