Amanda Kimmel

Amanda finally speaks. She did an interview with a magazine. After getting voted off in HvV, she was very upset at certain aspects of the game mainly Russell so I would have never thought she'd be interested in returning.

Wherever Amanda is today, I hope she is having a good day. It is no secret many former Survivors have PTSD especially when they fall down the "what if" rabbit hole (ex: Stephen Fischbach, Spencer/Reiman, Ozzy etc). I hope I'm wrong but I can imagine Amanda may suffer from this from time to time, moreso than any other contestant I imagine. She played with her heart and soul and spent 78 days in the cutthroat jungle in less than a year - she dominated both games but in the end let it slip thru her fingers. Sometimes things like that only get worse over time. So, what I'm saying is, I hope Amanda knows how awesome and badass she is and isn't too hard on herself. We love Amanda and she should be proud of all her accomplishments while doing it with class and self respect!

Genuinely asking. I started watching Survivor during s21 (Nicaragua) and went back to watch some of the older seasons. I recently introduced my girlfriend to the show and I rewatched some of China and all of Micronesia with her while she saw them for the first time.

It was hilarious hearing her straight up call Amanda vanilla. I always found her to be that, back then and now. Amanda seems like a nice person and a challenge beast but just so boring and looks like she’s always about to cry and wasn't usually the strategist in control. What I don't get is how the heck she was ever THAT popular? She even got top 3 in the fan favorite poll in Micronesia! Why?!

that sounds mean but i don’t mean it in a bad way. she’s always seemed very bland to me but since joining this group i’ve seen so many people that love her, and i just want to understand why lol

She got to back to back FTC and played a pretty good game in HvV I think that she was a good FTC away from not one but 2 wins. While I think she was outplayed both times she was well liked ,a strong physical competitor , and made her own strategic plays. Why is she almost never talked about in the top 3 of best to never win

Amanda Kimmel is a true legend and myth of the game. In the sense that she vanished. She’s on a whole other level than Natalie White because Amanda’s trilogy is almost remembered as an old school myth. Something like Sandra's two time wins can still be appreciated, but the Tale of The Amanda Kimmel feels more like a fable passed down from old school fans to new school fans. It was an experience you almost had to have in real time. We never saw anything like it before and we will never again. It gives me chills just thinking about it!

We know she got to the end twice, and has made quite a few moves in her Survivor career. She led the James blindside and idoled out Alexis at 6. She was also a major part in the vote-offs in China and Micronesia, and could've won both if her FTC was better. In Heroes v. Villains, you could tell she was drained, but she never stopped fighting. (The clue fight with Danielle, and secret scenes showing her trying to get Parvati and Russell against each other) Do you guys rate her game, and is she a top 20 player of all time?

She’s an icon, she’s a legend and she is the moment. And she’s not talked about enough!! Is she the best to never win? No it’s Cirie but she’s not far behind.

Amanda is the first player to reach 100 days and the first to make the final 2/3, two times in a row.

Alexis blindside - An almost 3-3 tie. Cirie has said that she was almost willing to go to rocks. “Amanda has this way of charming you with her beauty” - Cirie. Amanda find the idol under the flag, pulls off an amazing blindside against Alexis. Arguable the biggest threat besides Cirie.

Erik Blindside - Amanda plays a huge part in this, which is often overlooked.

• Convinced Erik to send Parvati to Exile and take her on the reward.

• Bullied Erik into believing everyone on the jury didn’t respect his game and he needs to make a big move.

I was testing him to see if he would flip and how easily swayed he would be - Amanda.

Amanda's sales pitch for Parvati was, "Parvati will use it for us. If Parvati got control of the idol and was able to find the idol, she would use it for us," meaning me and her and Parvati. - Erik

One of the things on the show that I was really good at — and it's awful and a terrible quality — is picking up on people's feelings really easily and then using that to manipulate them. I knew that it would really benefit us if Erik knew that everyone didn't like him because he really wanted people to like him on the show. Amanda was like, "Erik you've made everyone upset. Everyone's mad at you. And what are you going to do to redeem yourself?" And I'm like, "Yeah, Erik!" [Laughs] I was backing up whatever Amanda was saying and then going, "There's no chance of you winning because everybody thinks that you're a liar. You've gone back on your word. You've deceived people." Certainly, we laid the pressure on really thick. And he was between us. Amanda was to his left and I was to his right. He was caught in the web. - Parvati

Amanda and Cirie controlled Malakal after the swap.

Amanda decided she wanted blindside James at the final 7. Amanda got her alliance of Todd, Denise and Courtney on board. This was a risky move for Todd, if James played the idol he was going to be voted out. Amanda convinced him that it was now or never. And the first person to ever be blindsided with two idols was James.

There are so many other things you could mention but I feel like these are some of her best moves. I know Amanda is done with Survivor but hopeful she knows she is an icon, legend, queen, goddess.

Do we know what she’s up to these days? I’ve tried looking for an instagram but I don’t think she has one. Just curious as to what she’s up to/ how she’s doing.
