Basically scarabs are frequently the most rewarding thing in end game farming and you have to pick up a large amount of them. I tried 5-6 different strats and they all ended up feeling more like scarab farms than getting good rewards unique to that league. The ones I tried were Harbingers, Legion, Strongboxes, altar focused alch and go, and back to basics. The league content did have rewards worth pursuing, but it was always supplementing my primary focus of scarabs. It goes without saying that this is boring to me. Maybe others are into it. This league certainly shook things up, but I would guess we'll be tired of scarab farms soon.
I don't know how I would fix this, but I hope to see scarabs become less of a crutch for most end game farms in future leagues.
