Does anybody remember the old Striiv app that was just a fun walking challenge? This was before the Fusion band came out. You could buy little islands (turtle island?) and plants and butterflies and stuff to go on them. Does Striiv still do this separately under a different name somewhere? Bc I miss it, and I don’t want the new “normal” fitness app that they’ve become. Please let me know!
Hi Striivers!
If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and have 30 minutes to come into the Striiv offices in Redwood City in order to help us out with some device testing, we're looking for you! For this test, we're looking specifically for dark skinned users, users with thicker arm hair, and users with thicker wrists (all three would be perfect!) - this is to make sure that upcoming hardware works equally well across all skin tones/hair levels.
We'll be asking you to perform some light physical activity (jumping jacks/running in place), so wear something comfortable! We'll compensate you for your time with a $25 Amazon Gift Card, as well as our profound gratitude! If you're interested, take our quick survey at and we'll be in touch!
Because there's no other way to say that without having it come across as weird! We're testing a device again, and we need smaller folks to come in and help us test! Drop a line to and even if you don't make it into this test, we'll put you on the list for future testing!
Volunteers will get a $20 Amazon Gift Card if they're selected, and need to be able to come into our Redwood City office this week for about 1/2 hour!
You folks can be the first to know that there's a new Walgreens Activity tracker that you don't need a smartphone to use! I'm not sure if all of your local stores will have it in stock now, but it's out in the wild!
has an unboxing video and our help videos!
I have seen pictures on the Striiv website with the screen running vertical instead of horizontal. How can I get mine to do this?
Hey people - we're looking for people in the Bay Area once again who can come in to our office for about 30 minutes to help out with user testing for a new device!
If you're chosen to participate, you'll be leaving with a shiny $20 Amazon gift card! (well... not really shiny. It's just on regular paper.)
Hey - I'm the dude who puts up all of the facebook posts that get mentioned here (so I guess I need a new reddit account if I'm going to post NSFW stuff anywhere in the future. Oh well.)
We are looking for testers for something new, and we're giving people the choice of a $25 Amazon gift card or a Striiv Play as thanks for giving us a half hour of your time.
The catch : you need to be able to get yourself to our office in Redwood City, CA, you have to be willing to sign an NDA and be videotaped using the stuff we're testing, and you need to be available this Thursday or Friday.
email us at ambassadors(at)striiv.com for more info, and if you spam us, I will totally sign you up for cat facts.
I noticed that the weather function on the Walgreen's activity tracker works by getting your location from your phone and sending you the information to the device.
