Wayne Ellington: When I see you Iโ€™m putting my hands on you.

The Los Angeles Lakers player Wayne Ellington just played the Denver Nuggets Facu Campazzo. Seems like an altercation took place and both parties are upset

Context:

On Saturday, McGruder approached the Warriors bench and said something to Golden State rookie Juan Toscano-Anderson, who was not in uniform. Klay Thompson, who was part of the broadcast crew for the game, wasnโ€™t impressed.

Asked to explain what was going on down on the floor, Thompson said, โ€œI donโ€™t know. This guy might be out of the league pretty soon. Heโ€™s probably mad about that. Who knows? Heโ€™s over here trying to start something like heโ€™s a good player or something. Bro, get out of here.โ€

Draymond Green was asked about the exchange post-game (According to Green, McGruder approached Toscano-Anderson to deliver a message about something the rookie had said to Ellington in the first half.): โ€œWhen the fuck did Rodney McGruder become the tough guy on the team?โ€, โ€œI know ainโ€™t nobody scared of no Rodney McGruder.โ€

ย?

Later, Wayne Ellington was asked about this:

โ€œFirst of all, I think itโ€™s very unprofessional and definitely not classy for somebody to attack Rodneyโ€™s professional career the way that it was attacked,โ€

"The guy over there, Juan, is the one who started the whole thing. Rod is a man of respect, like myself, and I felt like he took offense to whatever the guy was saying to me in the first half. I just kind of laughed it off and kept on going.

โ€œSo, for Draymond to sit up and talk all that type of crazy stuff behind a microphone, I think thatโ€™s the fake tough guy stuff, to be honest with you. So, Iโ€™m only gonna talk about this situation once man and put it behind us. But I just think itโ€™s unfair for them guys to attack my man like that, and I appreciate Rod and I love him like a brother for whatever he did do that I know wasnโ€™t tough guy stuff. He just probably walked over there to try to clear the air with the guy.โ€

Referencing this post from a couple of months back.

Fournier played great tonight and was a huge part of the win tonight with his 32 points.

For the Lakers last night, Monk scored 6, Bazemore had 8, Melo had 9, and Howard had 5. Ariza, Nunn, and Ellington stayed on the bench.

Edit: I had to share this hilarious DM.
