This was made by editing the source code so it sends a live feed of the screen over a server to another client, resulting in this chain.
Also you can see that at some points in the video there are very bad jumpcuts. This is because I’m essentially alt-tabbing out of each window into the next one, which you can see on the recording. So I edited it out.

I don't think so. Generally most game engines only render things in view, not everything. You could argue though that it has to keep all the blocks in some sort of storage ( probably ram, though looking at it, it might be flushing to hard disk/ssd) 5 times over.
That’s easy to fix just download more ram and bam you got more FPS it’s simple.

It should not be possible to damage hardware by overstressing with any application, unless you both a) overclocked manually or with some shitty tool, and b) did not bother stress testing to make sure it was actually stable.

Edit: on a somewhat related note, since the jars appearance there has been a marked uptick in accountability and shit seems to run much smoother. When someone is “forced” to say something IS working rather than something SHOULD be working, they tend to A: have verified it more thoroughly, and B: take ownership when/if it isn’t working.

Some guy actually built a reddit in minecraft mod / map. Worked but was weirdly controlled by reading books in the game to swap posts etc and I think it was text only posts. The posts were displayed on in game signposts
