[Bridges Podcast] Guest Suggestion: James Rolfe, from "Cinemassacre", also known as "Angry Video Game Nerd"

https://www.youtube.com/@JamesNintendoNerd/videos

Who?

  • James Rolfe currently sits at 3.81 Million youtube subscribers and over a thousand videos.

  • He predates Youtube, producing video content in May 2004, while Youtube only launched in 2005 and started getting traction in 2006-2007. He started off doing in-character reviews of old (shitty) games with a touch of a lot of swearing, something that wasn't considered "common" back then.

  • He also produced a movie of his character

Why?

  • James has been forever active as a content creator, and next May it will have been 20 years since he first produced anything and he is still around. This is something he has in common with Destiny and there's a lot they can talk about.

  • James also loves gaming, specifically talking about old games. The conversation could be really interesting. He certainly won't shy away from talking about movies either.

  • James, as far as I know, never touched political content, and I assume this will be off the table. I consider this a positive so we can take a breather from all the Israel-Palestine, Trump, Biden, Elections etc.
