Analogue Super NT owners : is it worth it?

I’ve always been the type to play original software on original hardware. Right now I have my Snes hooked up to my Sony Trinitron CRT with S-video and I love it.

I now have the opportunity to obtain an Analogue Super Nt like new, and I’m very tempted. The Snes is the console I own the most games of (around 70) and I think it would be great to be able to play them in the highest quality possible.

My question to Analogue Super NT owners : is it really worth it? Do you ever go back to your old Snes to play games or you play exclusively on the NT? Are the settings easy to configure? Thanks!

Edit : just picked it up this afternoon, guy gave me 2 super famicon controller as a bonus. Can’t wait to test it tonight, probably with Zelda A Link to the Past with my Bluetooth headphones connected to the tv!

Analogue Super NT Discussion Thread - Super Kevtris Attack X2: A Link to the Future!

Click here to for a little music to set the mood for added dramatic effect!

Today, February 6th, 2018, is the official release date of Analogue Super NT, the first ever commercial FPGA Super Nintendo!

For anyone who doesn't already know, this is an hardware emulator or clone console based on FPGA technology that plays Super Famicom and Super Nintendo games with native 1080p HDMI output. Backed by Analogue and engineered by Kevin "Kevtris" Horton, this console has supposedly been designed with accuracy, latency, and compatibility in mind. Whether it meets the very high bar that the community has set for it certainly remains to be seen, but we will find out very soon!

The Super Nintendo is clearly the best 16-bit console holds a special place in the hearts of many, and (at the risk of sounding needlessly materialistic) I think today is a big day for FPGA gaming devices, for emulation, and for this community! As such, I figured it was a pretty decent time to try something a little bit different.

So, without further ado, welcome to this first official r/FPGAgaming Discussion Thread! Think of this as an anything-goes wild west of Super NT goodness where we can talk pseudo-randomly about the console, what we're currently playing, accessories, controllers, games, soundtracks, pixel art or ANYTHING else that pops into your logic elements. Complain about shipping, post your own personal reviews, share images and gifs, brag about your totally legit, sealed copy of Wild Guns signed by the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, etc. Barring any other major news, this thread will remain stickied here for a few weeks or longer in order to keep the discussions going.

The only thing I ask is that you please be considerate of other people and refrain from spoiling games, even if they're old classics it's possible that other people are still experiencing them for the first time! As always, just be cool and treat others the way you want to be treated or better!

Edit: If you're interested in more real-time discussion, please also consider joining the Official FPGAgaming Discord channel.

Ready!? Set!?!? Goooooooooooo!

**PRICES DO NOT INCLUDE SHIPPING -- PLEASE SEE BELOW**

All prices in USD. Shipping to the U.S. and Canada. Canadian buyers of course more than welcome so just do a conversion on xe.com if you want to look at prices in CAD. It costs me at least ~$15USD to ship anything tracked for the smallest packages, so shipping is not included because there are some cheap items here. However, I'm hoping to get some bundles going and then am happy to eat shipping. I'm thinking fair would be $15USD shipping for under $50, $10 for between $50-$100, and included for over $100. Have tried to price everything fairly to sell. Adding some notes about condition and stuff to the end to keep this preamble brief.

I also have the NES and SNES games listed here available (didn't want to make this post overlong):https://www.reddit.com/r/GameSale/comments/tnz5zv/canada_h_nes_and_snes_game_collections_w_paypal/

Everything is tested and working, save for COTM and HM save retention as noted.

The GB boxes have some of those extra ads/books that come with the games with the exception of Pokemon and Link's Awakening; let me know if that matters to you and I'll confirm exactly what's there. The Golden Sun map has my adolescent printing on it as shown, hopefully no spoilers there lol, and is slightly wavy. Generally, if there's no pic it's in great condition.I am hoping to keep manuals and CIB as package deals for now assuming there's any interest here for that.

PS1 discs are all okay and generally show just typical superficial scratches and the occasional smudge. I tried my best to get photos that would show them but it felt like a bit of a fail. However, on the two major collection pieces, SOTN and LSSSC, the discs look close to immaculate. The only flaw I can find with Lunar is some wear on the outer edges of the box. SOTN is excellent as well.

Screens on the GBA and DS are decent, there is a small somewhat noticeable scratch on the GBA near the center, pictured.Original owner of the Super NT, used very little, <10 hours. Has the first jailbreak firmware on it I believe; will leave it to new owner to update or factory reset.

Please ask away with any questions or request photos of anything you'd like to see. Thx for looking.

Analogue Super Nt vs SNES Classic

I managed to snag an SNES Classic at Target a couple weeks ago, and then I came across the Analogue Super Nt. I was wondering if one is going to be better than the other for my needs. I have a large collection of games that I would like to play, and I know about the hack for the SNES classic and the jailbreak for the Analogue Super Nt. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

So is anyone getting an Analogue Super NT?

I pre-ordered mine yesterday, very excited. For the uninitiated, it's essentially a brand new SNES clone that plays on modern TVs. More info here: https://www.analogue.co/pages/super-nt/

I realize this might not be in line with the ethos of this sub, but at the same time, the whole purpose of this console is to play SNES and Super Famicom carts on it rather than emulation. It's actual hardware running the games.

So yeah, anyone else order one? Looking forward to it? I myself can't wait!

[USA-PA] [H] Analogue Super Nt, Mario Kart Double Dash [W] Animal Crossing, Offers

I have an Analogue Super Nt - Classic with 8bitdo retro receiver. No controller since I used the 8bitdo SN30+, and I'm still using that with my Switch. This will be valued well above its retail price in any transaction. Currently loaded with latest jailbreak firmware, but it's extremely easy to flash back to stock if you prefer that for some reason.

Also have Mario Kart Double Dash - with case, but without manual and the second disc.

I'm looking for Animal Crossing: New Horizons for sure then offers after that.
