TIL that a fake baby (doll) was used in the 2014 film American Sniper because the real baby that was supposed to play in the scene showed up with a fever and the second baby was a no show. In one media screening of the film, the audience laughed out loud at how artificial the doll appeared.

American Sniper

I heard in an interview with Bradley Cooper that they delayed shooting the movie so he could do the proper physical training, which Clint Eastwood actually thought was unnecessary.

Anyway, Cooper claimed that he gained 40 lbs of muscle in 2.5 months while on an 8000 cal/day Paleo-style diet and that he did it without the aid of hormones.

I've been lifting for a while and to me this statement seems laughable.

Am I wrong in my assumptions? I know the argument against steroids is usually that he has constant access to top experts and whatnot, but 40 pounds of muscle?! Is it even physiologically possible, or am I way off-base?

Report: Kephri got kicked out of the movie theater for yelling "cheater" when watching American Sniper

I spoke to the head of AMC who told me that security had to escort Kephri out of a screening of the biopic American Sniper because he thought Bradley Cooper was aimbotting while playing the role of Chris Kyle.

He apparently started screaming that even if Bradley Cooper took the pills from Limitless his aim still wouldn't be as good and he had to be using a program. Allegedly his then girlfriend was very embarrassed and decided to go to the zoo to fight some egg yolks and sing showtunes.

Unsure what this had to do with lava lamps though.

Similar to how Eastwood made 'Letters from Iwo Jima' the story of WWII from the Japanese side of things rather than the American side. The Syrian Sniper supposedly was a gold medalist in the Olympics for shooting, and it would be interesting to see how he trained and became what he was.

'American Sniper' is detrimentally one-sided.

American Sniper is incredibly disappointing. I take issue with war films that paint an enemy in absolute evil- especially without giving a single shred of motivation. This is one of them. I understand patriotism, but not when you begin to turn a blind eye. The problem is; I'm already reasonably patriotic. I don't need to be appealed to. What I like is a film that teaches me something I didn't know. I want my beliefs to be challenged as I believe this is what keeps you honest. American Sniper doesn't do this in the slightest. It paints a picture of a cowboy from Texas going to fight the SAVAGE (they literally say this unironically) enemy in Iraq. This guy is made to look like Prince Charming. I sort of hope that someone disagrees and can give me a different frame of mind on this film, because it is fairly well shot and Bradley Cooper's acting is pretty great. The story just needed more of an edge for me.
