I can’t believe how bad AHS Delicate is

This new season of American Horror Story is not even good bad, like previous seasons, it’s bad bad. I don’t know if the writers strike had anything to do with it, but at this point please let the series die before it ends as embarrassingly as Halloween Ends.

I know this might be a broad statement, but do any new moms get the heebie jeebies with this season?

I was pregnant when the first part came out and the opening scene made my spine tingle 😂 idk if I would have felt the same way not being pregnant and having a baby.

So...I've been doing a lot of thinking and I want to compile all of my thoughts/discoveries into a concise post, would be happy to hear your thoughts.

A handful of names stuck out to me as possibly being demonic in nature. Siobhan, Babette, and Io specifically. I looked into this further and it turns out the opposite is true.

Siobhan: God is graceful

Babette: Oath of God, or God is Satisfaction

Io: A reference to divine right and an implicit expression of thanks for the child's birth

Having that thought validated seems to indicate there's definitely some demon shit going on. Similarly, the baby shown twice in the intro sequence has (similar) long black nails to the figure in promotional pictures from Apocalypse, which is also shown with a baby.

One thing I hadn't found an explanation for yet was the spiders. They've been very prevalent in the promotional art and intro sequence, so I looked to see if spiders ever appear in the bible. There are two instances: Once in the book of Job and again in Isaiah. The Job one certainly seems like it could apply, but the Isaiah one has overwhelming similarities to the story seen and told so far. I'll post below the parts that stand out.

"But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. For your hands are stained with blood, your fingers with guilt." (Isaiah 59:2-3)

We've seen Anna's hands stained with blood several times so far. Perhaps there is some action in the past that will be brought to light to fulfill the feeling of guilt?

"No one calls for justice; no one pleads a case with integrity. They rely on empty arguments, they utter lies; they conceive trouble and give birth to evil. They hatch the eggs of vipers and spin a spider’s web. Whoever eats their eggs will die, and when one is broken, an adder is hatched." (Isaiah 59:4-5)

Conceive trouble and give birth to evil is pretty straightforward. For hatching the eggs of vipers, we see multiple shots of a snake moving through the title sequence, but there's a deeper connection to serpents. In Genesis after Eve is discovered to have eaten the apple from the tree, God first speaks to the serpent and punishes him, followed with

"Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy pain and thy conception; in pain thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."

Multiply Thy Pain. The title of the first episode. In a sense, too, Anna has already begun to spin a spider's web. The scene of her pulling the ever-growing piece of hair from her head looked quite similar to a spider producing silk as it makes its web.

"Their feet rush into sin; they are swift to shed innocent blood. They pursue evil schemes; acts of violence mark their ways. The way of peace they do not know; there is no justice in their paths. They have turned them into crooked roads; no one who walks along them will know peace." (Isaiah 59:7-8)

This, to me, indicates one of 2 things. Either A) Siobhan is indeed evil and is one of the ones walking without knowing peace, or B) It's an omen that the peace in Siobhan's life will soon leave her, suggesting she'll suffer some terrible fate as a result of her relationship with Anna.

"So justice is driven back, and righteousness stands at a distance; truth has stumbled in the streets, honesty cannot enter. Truth is nowhere to be found, and whoever shuns evil becomes a prey." (Isaiah 59:14-15)

I believe this might reference Io (Ms. Preecher). She is, in her eyes, shunning evil. She feels herself to be a source of justice, and she is being pushed back from Anna. It could also be relevant to Ivy, given her standing at a distance to watch Anna. She is in the streets, Anna knows she is there, but she's unaware of what her purpose is. If Ivy stands for justice, Anna is unable to find it.

With all of that said, I think that Ivy is going to be the main obstacle for Anna. She will continue to try and stop her pregnancy from holding, working as an agent of God to stop the birth of evil.

Going back to the shared nails in the intro sequence and Apocalypse promo art, perhaps what Anna is giving birth to is the successor to Michael Langdon. We know it was a boy, from Dr. Hill's tests, and the show has only been renewed through season 13, which feels like a natural place to end it, and Apocalypse's ending seems like one of the most important plot points to flesh out/wrap up. The Genesis verse likely has something to reveal about Dex's intentions, but I'm not quite sure what that will be. Let me know what you think.

Edit: Adding new info

There are 3 other names that seem to have biblical relevance/hebrew origin.

Talia: Dew of God

Theo: Loved by God

Hamish: Holder of the heel, or supplanter

So it seems Hamish might be symbolic of Anna's career and success taking the place her child would have otherwise occupied?

Hi! So yesterday, I watched Delicate’s 6th episode and I was so happy it finally came back!

Months ago while the show was regularly airing, I thought that maybe this season was somehow connected to Coven which it very well may be considering Mallory (Billie) and Coco (Leslie) are reprising their roles since they were last seen in Apocalypse (I don’t care what anyone says, it was pretty damn good to me lol).

But anywho, here’s my theory and it’s small: I feel like the witches in Delicate are surrounding Anna (Emma) because Anna might give birth to the AntiChrist or some sort of creature. It makes sense because of these things:

  1. Some episodes ago, Billie and Leslie’s characters are seen taking away a queen’s baby who has these long nails.

  2. I believe during the last episode of Apocalypse, Mallory was able to go back in time and that power is displayed again in Delicate.

The other thing too is that Anna is parallel to Maddie from Coven, except she’s not some stuck up bitch. BUT….what’s funny is that in Apocalypse, some of the witches forgot who they actually were. Meaning something happened after Coven. So Anna could actually be Coven’s Maddie, but who knows.
