Why in the hell is America Ferrera nominated

I’m sure the monologue got her in. IMO I hated that scene, but that’s just me, not a huge barbie fan. Ryan Gosling’s nomination on the other hand is valid, genuinely funny, and he’s the only reason why I’ll remember the film. But like seriously America Ferrera?? Out of every supporting role in 2023??? Julianne Moore??? Anne Hathaway???? Not even a huge fan of those movies either but those performances absolutely carried. I feel like people need to chill with this whole barbie hype, like seriously I’m 100% sure people won’t feel the same about the film if only non famous people are attached to the whole production.

After seeing that America Ferrera got a nomination, i realised how big of a snub this performance was. Comment a huge snub by any category
