In other words, the Hawks basically traded Jeff Teague for Jeff Teague four years later. They also received the 17th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft in the Prince trade and Graham in the trade that occurred today.

The salaries between these pair of trios was almost identical, but Blazers spent $558 more on Turner, Leonard and Crabbe than the Warriors did on their original Big Three.

Additionally, the Blazers paid a combined $16.7 million to Anderson Varejao and Festus Ezeli last year -- who were the Warriors' backup centers in 2016 -- which is a greater sum of money that any Warrior earned last year, excluding Kevin Durant.

Who won the Allen Crabbe trade?

I haven’t seen anybody talk about this, mostly because the finals are upon us but this is actually a huge trade. Brooklyn unloads a huge contract and pick up a young 6’8 small forward with a ton of potential, still on his rookie deal. This means Brooklyn might potentially open up cap space for KD and/or Kyrie which would make them automatic contenders.

On the other hand, Atlanta picked up a good role player just entering his prime. He’s on a huge contract but Atlanta definitely aren’t trying to contend just yet so they can wait it out and free up cap space. They also got two first round picks which probably won’t be high but it’s still first round. I think the most important part of this trade is to free up Trae Young to give him freedom to run this team, similar to Dallas trading Dennis Smith Jr away.

All in all this was actually a great trade for both teams but who won. Even if Brooklyn doesn’t get a huge free agent, they have a solid 13 points per game at their small forward position which is an upgrade from Crabbe. There’s a lot of factors involved that are yet unclear including what results of the picks and how much they gave up by trading Prince. So who do you think won?

The Brooklyn Nets are over .500 despite owing a combined $81,588,557 (80.09% of the cap) this season to Allen Crabbe, DeMarre Carroll, Jared Dudley, and dead cap hits (Kenneth Faried, Dwight Howard, Deron Williams)

Allen Crabbe is making $18,500,000 this season and has a player option he will surely opt into in 2019-20 for another $18,500,000.

DeMarre Carroll and Jared Dudley are on expiring deals for $15,400,000 and $9,530,000 respectively.

Kenneth Faried was recently bought out and has a dead cap hit of $13,764,045.

Dwight Howard was traded to Brooklyn in the 2018 offseason in exchange for Timofey Mozgov and two 2nd rounders. He reached a buyout with Brooklyn before signing with Washington and has a dead cap hit of $18,919,725.

Deron Williams was waived in the 2015 offseason and still has a dead cap of $5,474,787 for this season as well as 2019-20.

EDIT: 9 of the top 11 on the Nets in winshares this season (Jarrett Allen, Spencer Dinwiddie, Ed Davis, Joe Harris, D'Angelo Russell, Rodions Kurucs, Shabazz Napier, Caris LeVert, and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson) have combined for 20.4 win-shares on a combined 2019 salary of $31,226,142. For reference, James Harden this season has 7.9 win-shares on a salary of $30,421,854.

Does Allen Crabbe use too much deodorant?

Following their win against the Rockets last night, the Blazers answered press questions in the locker as per usual. The Trail Blazers youtube channel uploaded a video of Moe Harkless offering his feedback on the game and his performance. At one point in the video, you can see Allen Crabbe appear in the background as he prepares himself to leave the MODA center. Keep watching and you will see him apply his deodorant.

It's hard for me to tell, but it looks like he swipes his right pit approximately 13 times. I don't know how many swipes most people do, but I know that 4-5 swipes are good enough for me. His excessive use raises one question: does Allen Crabbe use too much deodorant? Let's find out.

We can tell that the deodorant case in the video is colored dark blue or bluish gray. A quick search on Amazon for deodorant brings up Degree Men Dry Protection 48 Hour Antiperspirant which matches the color and the geometry of Crabbe's case in the video. It is fair to assume that this is your run of the mill men's deodorant.

So how much deodorant is too much? It's hard to find a definitive answer online because there are conflicting ideas between manufacturers and consumers. Manufacturers will always tell consumers to use more than needed, and consumers use as much as they find necessary. In this thread from r/AskMen 2 years ago the general consensus is between 3 and 5 swipes, just enough to get full coverage of the pit. Crabbe doesn't seem to have an excessive amount of hair on his pits, so I think this is enough to conclude that Allen Crabbe is using too much deodorant.

Why does he choose to wear so much deodorant? He could just not know he is wearing too much. Maybe he just tends to sweat more than your average Joe. He may have Nurk Fever and sweats when he's in Jusuf's presence. We will probably never know.

Anyway, I hope this post has provided insight to a concern that I've developed after watching Moe's interview. Enjoy the rest of the season, Rip City.
