Does anyone else miss having Soriano on the roster? He was so fun to watch and always came through on clutch moments.

In 2006, Soriano’s lone season with the Nationals, he became a member of the 40/40 club with 46 homers and 41 stolen bases. After my brief research he’s the only one in the 40/40 club that hasn’t been connected to PEDs. I understand that his batting average was low and the Nationals were bad but it’s arguably the greatest single season performance in the modern era. Why don’t people recognize Soriano for that more? How did he not win MVP? You could even argue that season should have given Soriano a better shot at the hall of fame. Just seems weird that such an incredible season a feat by a single player was sort of wiped from our collective memory.
