BJP has promised C2 + 50% MSP and also defying WTO on agricultural products now refusing?

Unfortunately, people today are not in favour at all and feel farmer like a leech on society :

Modi Promising:https://qz.com/india/241215/indias-wto-position-reflects-modis-desire-to-emerge-as-a-champion-of-farmers

https://www.business-standard.com/article/elections-2014/modi-wants-50-profit-margin-for-farmers-in-msp-of-agri-commodities-114042300494_1.html

CPI(M) Source

I agree much of the farmer demands on the farm protest are very draining on resources, it doesnt mean all demands have to be met, *key demand is "Implementation of C2+50% MSP calculation".There is no way all demands will be meet but there are many good things which are necessary for farmer and adivasi.

***Things to know :***Firstly, One of the main thing why farmers should be subsidized is because if farming is left over, it will be much harder to get it back and this is also one reason why almost all countries in the world subsidize farming. Otherwise cost of goods will become suddenly expensive.

Secondly, whether you know govt takes land for free to build road atleast it happened in telangana to us and came to know thats normal, which although boosts land value, sometimes buys farmer land at very low rate atleast in the past idk the situation now.

Whenever a agri product becomes expensive like tomato becomes 100, then government imports excessively reducing the price. But there comes times when tomato price becomes as low as 2-5 rupees per kg because of no proper cold storage and unable to export i guess. This where farmer who takes loans to do farming cant pay back, and in worst cases commits sucides.

Idk whether average person is aware of even selling of produced good isnt easy, my dad had kept around 4 tractors of which 3 rented in rice mill for around 5 days and used to go there every day and had to waste time and not only him but the drivers. Then one day my dad said I will bring media and throw all over, then soon they took it.

People should understand that despite the subsidies, free electricity,... Government heavily controls exports so that oridinary people in india dont face high prices, and that is one reason why india has the lowest cost of living.

*Why only Punjabi protest mostly?*I believe only the affordable can influence poor farmers to protest and only place which is known for rich farmers is Punjab rest of all are either sell of their lands or some even commit sucide.

CPI mentions BJP helps corporate land grab including adivasi, Gaurakshak (killed cattle trade, stray cattle)
Under BJP, the MSP for paddy grew at an annual rate of only 4.3%, while in the previous decade it increased at 12% yearly.
CPI:https://cpim.org/sites/default/files/documents/save_farmers_and_rural_workers.pdf

"Don't treat farmers like they are criminals", said an emotional Dr Madhura Swaminathan.I'm not a farmer to be able to list all resources.

Neutral**:**

  1. MSP : (BJP Promised this as mentioned in sources, although idk the estimates and idk where they got 10 lakh crore from, infact having MSP on 24 or more varieties would i believe make farmers produce different crops rather than the common crop rice."MSP guarantee across crops can raise income and demand, Real cost to the government of such a guarantee would be around ₹21,000 cr" : CRISILSwaminathan and her daughter alsosupports MSP formula.)

  2. Debt Waiver (Neutral because it is very common in india from past, and not a new thing, but we should move away from this someday).

Good:

  1. Withdrawal of cases against farmers during the 2020 protest.

  2. Protection of rights of indigenous people.

  3. Seed quality4. Lakhimpur Kheri Massacre

  4. MGNREGA

  5. Compensation for life loss

  6. National Commision for spices

  7. Land Acquisation ( Idk but in the past govt used to purchase farmer land for lower prices than market price and idk the situation today but atleast 10% of developed plots should go to him).

Bad:

  1. Pension for 60+ ( Infact modi promised something like this, not 10000 though but see BJP 2014 Manifesto (Put in place welfare measures for farmers above 60 years in age, small and marginal farmers and farm labours.)

  2. WTO ( But modi promised this, and giving more subsidy might me removing from WTO)

Some say 3 farm laws were good, but I would take Swaminathan's words who did lot for agriculture, On repelling 3 farm laws he says "I am happy with the announcement today. I emphasize that C2+50% is the core of the reports of the National Commission on Farmers"

MSP guarantee across crops can raise income and demand, Real cost to the government of such a guarantee would be around ₹21,000 cr : CRISIL

Boycott Indian Agricultural Products (such as Grapes) at retailers such as Lidl inside the EU due to their ongoing support of Russia

Its easy to check check inside a retailer the country of origin of the Fruit and Vegetables that you buy. Indian agricultural products have increased dramatically in the last 10 years and I personally have supported them in the past because I thought it was a great idea. But the fact that India refuses to stop buying Russian Oil (there are alternatives) or Russian Weapons (there are alternatives) or demand that Russia stops their illegal war we might as well stop buying their stuff.

The Indian agricultural industry is fledgling industry is bound for greatness with access to the European market if not they can export to BRICS countries I guess
