I wasn’t really following boxing at the time Adonis Stevenson rose to prominence. I only became a true fan after he was long done. The only things I know about him was that he was trained at Kronk and he was not too well liked during his reign. So, please inform me on his career.

Jack is shifty, Stevenson keeping Jack in position. Not much going on for either guy as Jack struggles a bit to get into range. Jack works around Stevenson, looking for openings. Stevenson throws out a few left hands with little thrown in return. Jack throws a few rights near the end of the round.

Stevenson more confident, coming forward more behind his jab. Jack still shifting, big left lands for Stevenson sending Jack back into the ropes. Stevenson throws a left to the body. Right hand lands to the body for Jack, Stevenson still has Jack shifting.

Jack stays out of range of Adonis's opening punches. Big tie up following glancing punches for Stevenson. Cagey moment as they look for openings, both clinch up. 1-2 off the guard for Jack, another right over the top. Left uppercut lands for Stevenson, most meaningful punch of the round. Left hand lands on the chin for Stevenson as the bell rings.

Jack still shifting, Stevenson lands to the body. Another left down the pipe, not too clean. Right to the body, left upstairs for Stevenson. That early brilliance faded for Jack. Big left lands on the gloves for Stevenson. Right uppercut in close quarters. Stiff jabs for Jack. Jack looks for a counter-right, glances but not clean.

Stevenson ties up, Jack lands to the body. Right pops Stevenson's head between the guard. Ref warns Jack for low punches. Shifting jabs for both guys.

Ref giving Jack a serious warning, probably gonna get a point docked if he does it again. Big uppercut lands for Badou Jack! He wobbled Stevenson a touch there, throws a few more shots. Jack is walking down Stevenson now, big role reversal. Left lands around the guard for Jack, follows up with a 1-2. Stevenson is bloodied.

Jab exchange in center of the ring. Power punches exchanging on the inside. Ref breaks up the clinch. Grimy work on the inside. Stevenson landing body shots. Jack looks a bit shook up, these body shots are catching up. BIG LEFT lands to the body. Rights to the body landing for Stevenson.

Jack is seriously hurt. These body shots are really hurting Jack. The body shots, followed up by shots upstairs. Stevenson going for it! Jack doing anything he can to delay the action, tying up. Stevenson lands a combo to the body, Jack lands shots upstairs! Stevenson is totally gassed. Jack is turtled up something seriously. Body shots for Jack, a few shots upstairs. Stevenson returns fire with a left. Jack with some body shots. Jack lands some combos upstairs.

Stevenson comes out again, lands another big body shot and shakes Jack. Jack trying to tie up, obviously hurt. His guard is tight, looking like Creed in his first with Balboa. Stevenson seems to have found his second win, still working the body.

In my opinion these two boxers have put their own agenda and well being ahead of the sport and the fans wishes, blatantly dodging fights that were mandatory for them. There are many other talented boxers who should be up there.

They come to the center and both fighters in yellow but Stevenson in the signature Kronk yellow. Cagey opening. Stevenson jabs the body. No left hand sighting yet. Bika with a jab to the body. Bika looking to counter Stevenson's jab with his jab and he gets him there. Stevenson with a big left to the body, very nicely done. Stevenson reaching with the left. Stevenson trying to set up the big left and he flashes it but Bika's head wasn't there. Stevenson tries a quick right hook but Bika clinches. Bika's gameplay not bad so far. Stevenson sneaks inside and lands a quick right. Stevenson lands the left as Bika comes in. Stevenson smothers Bika. Bika is slowly but surely trying to make this a Bika style fight. Bika is going to get absolutely demolished if Stevenson lands the left. Bika is sitting on his back foot and trying to move with that center of gravity. Stevenson with a left and Bika misses a right. That one made Bika take a step back. Bika is trying to time Stevenson with something big but his distance is off. Stevenson with a hard left. The two meet at the center for the final instructions, Sillakh smirks at Kovalev, they touch gloves and go back to their corners. Sillakh lands a solid left to the body, but it's more of a slapping punch. Kovalev leads with a right followed by a left but neither land. Sillakh moving, bouncing, moving laterally, comes in and lands the 1-2 and he's out of reach. Foot feints from Sillakh are causing Kovalev to back up, but Kovalev keeps coming forward. A slight slip form KOvalev but he's not hurt. Kovalev lunging forward with his jab. Sillakh slaps Kovalev's jab down. Sillakh jabs upstairs, Kovalev to the body with 2 jabs. The bell sounds and Stevenson comes out in his southpaw stance with his right held high. A superman chant from the Canadian crowd, Stevenson lunges forward with a right hook, now a jab to the body for Superman. Straight right over the jab for Bellew. Looping right hook lands for Stevenson. Bellew moving to his left away from Stevenson's left, it worked that time as he slipped the left. Jab to the body left upstairs partially lands for Stevenson. Now a left to the body for Stevenson, hard jab and finally Bellew counters. Stevenson just misses the home run left. Hard right hand lands from Bellew making Stevenson take a step back. A very intense first round.

He hits Stevenson with a hard right and down goes Stevenson. Referee rules it a slip. Stevenson appears hurt!!!! Bellew is unloading. Bellew in control now, Stevenson lands a straight left. Bellew now letting Stevenson back him up, eats a right hand from Superman. Stevenson back in control, legs fully there, throwing the left. Bellew not hurt. Stevenson telling him something. Stevenson hits him with a good counter left, now a jab to the body. Good left, right, left for Bellew at the end. Excellent round, very close.

Stevenson lands the straight left, Bellew a good left jab. Stevenson doing a good job landing the body jab, which is key to set up the left up top. Bellew slips the straight left very well. Bellew comes forward with a good right hand, Stevenson shakes it off and drops his hands using his head to avoid Bellew's combination. Hard right hook, left hook from Bellew. Stevenson smiles at Bellew. Bellew's punches are coming in slow enough for Stevenson to avoid rather easily. Stevenson doing a lot of talking this round. Stevenson misses the left and the round ends.

Bellew drinking powerade in the corner. I haven't seen a sports drink in the corner since Maidana-Morales. Bellew moving side to side, Stevenson lands a left, Bellew lands a couple of punches and escapes back to a safe range. Bellew ducks under a punch, Stevenson comes back in and lands an awkward left hand. Huge left hook from Stevenson and down goes Bellew!!!!! He rises and he's on the defensive. He appears to fully be there, Stevenson lands a huge left hook, Bellew is hurt now, he falls into the corner, Stevenson rushes in and lands another huge left!!!! The referee jumps in and this fight is over!!!!!!
