Switching from Adobe Premiere pro to DaVinci made me realise how bad Adobe products are.

Adobe used to be good but let's be honest they haven't done anything good since 2010 to improve. Their software must be built on spaghetti code by now it's quite embarrassing how bad and overly complicated it is.

DaVinci for me is more smooth user experience and faster software. With Adobe I thought maybe I have to upgrade my PC (RTX 3080) because it would be laggy and buggy. All these problems are gone with DaVinci.

Wish they also made Photoshop and LR Alternatives - would switch in a heartbeat.

I am done with Adobe Premiere Pro!!!!

I have been using Adobe Premiere Pro for 9 years now. One thing I have noticed every year when a new version or update comes out there is always a new bug or an old bug from years ago comes back. I have spent two days now trying to fix a bug I stubbled across on. I have lost hours of work. Why can't adobe get their act together. We are always the ones that have to figure the solutions for adobe and report the problem. I am done. I am very frustrated with Adobe. We shouldn't have to tolerate this kind of crap every single year. As paying customers we deserve better. I am moving to a new software. I got my eyes on Avid or Davinci. What is your experience with these softwares and which one is the best value for money?

EDIT: I noticed that the project the editor gave me is using H264 codec. Most often I work in prores as it is less taxing on the system and I never have a problem with it. The problem is probably also codec related.

EDIT/Solved: I converted the codec to pro-res mid editing. Everything is fine now. Okay. I didn't think for a 7 minute video I would have any problems while working on H264. How ignorant of me to think that. Okay let me have it. Tell me what a complete idiot I am now. I can take it. Go on.

ADOBE PREMIERE PRO SUCKS. ALWAYS SAVE YOUR WORK A MILLION TIMES OVER [tips & tricks]

Just dropping in to say that I spent the past hour or so refining an ASMR video, and Premiere Pro continually "auto-saved" during that hour. Of course, when I'm JUST A FEW EDITS FROM BEING DONE WITH THE VIDEO, the app freezes and won't respond. That's fine, right? I've been saving my work.

WRONG.

I just went to re-open the video file and my computer says it was last modified three days ago :) I love it here.

Clarifying edit: Only one of the autosaves was successfully rendered... and it had nothing in it.

Warning edit: I’m not friendly enough for your rude comments about how I just don’t know how to use Premiere Pro, how I should’ve used another app or whatever else I should’ve done. Please comment with your own experience or tips on how to avoid this in the future, or be prepared for an equally rude response. Get off your high horses.

As a complete Beginner should I buy DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro?

From the little research I've done, everyone seems to be switching to DaVinci, plus I have had a horrible relationship with Adobe. They wouldn't allow me to cancel the auto renewal on a software I was using and I ended up getting signed up for another year of the software that was no longer of any use for me when an email from their side on the final month to cancel ended up in Spam. They were rude and basically told me to F off on chat and disconnected when I pointed out that not allowing a person to sign out automatically was kind of shady, even Apple allows me to sign out of another year If I want to. So I'm already mentally ready to go to any other software other than an Adobe one.

What I'll need the software for: I'm starting a YouTube channel where I'll be talking about Geopolitics and politics. I'll be filming myself with my iPhone 13Pro Max on a tripod until I can afford a better camera and editing the videos on my gaming PC. The PC's specs are as follow:

RTX 3060Ti / i7-12700K

CPU - Intel i7-12700K

Motherboard - B660M Motherboard

Base Storage - 500 GB M.2 Nvme

RAM - 16GB (8x2) 3200 Mhz (Which I'll be upgrading to 32GB)

Power Supply - 650W Power Supply

Graphics Card (GPU) - RTX 3060Ti

Case - As Chosen

CPU Cooler - Coolermaster ML240L

My past experience with a video editing software was only with Final Cut Pro in University when I was studying film. But I'm willing to jump in and learn again. Will I regret not going with Adobe? Is Adobe really so much easier than DaVinci?

Another reason I'm not tempted to go with them is because Adobe charges a bomb per month While DaVince charges a one time fee which I love.

Adobe Premiere Pro Editing H.264 vs H.265

Trying to solve an issue with Premiere Pro freezing/locking up and just randomly doing its own thing. Weird right? Haha.

Was wondering if anyone has done any testing or recommendations on editing files that have been taken in H.265 vs H.264. Most of our files come off the GoPro in H.265 and we have always had issues with Crashing and Freezing. The computer is a Core i9 12900H and has a GTX 3070 TI. Converting them all to DNX is probably just a waste of time so i am trying to gauge if we should be using H.265 or H.264.

What are your thoughts?

Better off switching to Davinci?

Free Alternatives for Adobe Premiere Pro?

I have been making YouTube videos using Windows Video Editor, which is not really convenient. I want to be able to add sound effects, visual effects, image overlays, and crop the size of a video in certain areas. I saw Adobe Premiere Pro accomplishes this but I am not ready to spend money on a software for making videos, which I do for fun. Is there another software that could accomplish just as much and comes for free? It would be a great help and thanks to anyone in advance.

TLDR: The Title.

Downgrade your Adobe Premiere Pro Projects with Ease using Premiere Pro Downgrader

The link: https://github.com/MrEriaku/Downgrade-Adobe-Premiere-Project

Hey everyone,

If you've ever tried to open an Adobe Premiere Pro project only to find that it's not compatible with your version of the software, then you know how frustrating it can be. But don't worry, we've got you covered! Introducing Premiere Pro Downgrader, a tool that allows you to downgrade your projects with ease, so you can work with older versions of Premiere Pro.

Premiere Pro Downgrader comes with an easy-to-use web page interface, complete with clear and concise instructions that guide you through the downgrading process. The tool is also compatible with a GitHub repository, so you can easily access and download the files you need to perform the downgrade.

While we cannot guarantee that the project will work perfectly in an older version of Premiere Pro, we've done everything we can to make the downgrading process as smooth and seamless as possible. However, edits made using the new Type Tool will be lost, as CC 2017 and older versions do not support this feature.

You can download the zip file containing the web page from the "Releases" section of our GitHub repository. And, if you encounter any issues with the tool or have suggestions for improvement, please feel free to open an issue on the repository.

As a reminder, Premiere Pro Downgrader is a backup of the original owner's website, which can be found at http://downgrader.elements.tv/. This repository was created to ensure continued access to the downgrading tool in the event that the original website is unavailable or inaccessible.

Thank you for checking out Premiere Pro Downgrader, and happy downgrading!
