I've been working in an industrial setting for 10yrs and besides my trusty blundstones have been generally disappointed and sometimes disgusted at the workboot selection for women. Why do they keep making them pink!!!???
Someone finally decided to capitalize on this and has created a line of genuinely attractive workboots.

I just cleaned my closet and I feel like I've got too many pairs of shoes! I've got 17! :( Living in DC, I've got 2 pairs of hiking boots, 1 pair of snow boot, 2 booties (black and light brown), 1 pair of grey rain boots, 4 sneakers, 1 converse, 1 pair of slip on sneakers, 3 pairs of flats (black, silver, and nude), 1 pair of 2in Steve Madden heels, and 1 pair of 2in black heels.

I've been sick and have had this project on my mind so I finally pulled the trigger.
For the past decade, I've made the conscious decision to build my wardrobe (color palette) around , with the reasoning that if all my pieces match this scarf they will match each other. I've been largely successful, with a few outliers out of pure love.
A few notes-
- I prioritize quality, natural materials.
- Most of my pieces are secondhand. I thrift in NYC (many options, not too many deals) and online, and a few were handed down.
- Aside from the outerwear, I can't identify a single article pictured that cost me more than $100.
- I am not immune to impulsive instagram purchases (there are two green pieces from Disturbia pictured that go against most of my shopping guidelines that I love dearly)
- This has largely been possible due to the fact that my size has remained consistent.
- I routinely mend pieces in order to keep them alive.
- My special occasion clothing does not adhere to the scarf rule.
- Not pictured- casual wear (band tees and blue jeans), a few summer pieces that are packed away, so much black (sweaters and skirts)
