I prefer Coltrane faster, more experimental stuff and whenever I check out out some of his other work it tends to be slower, moodier, and more in line with other Jazz songs of that era. Any suggestions?

I’m relatively new, but Kind of Blue and Time Out were super easy to get into and listen on repeat for multiple sessions…but I’m having a tougher time with Coltrane. The runs that he goes on seem so chaotic; he seems to (intentionally or not) hit a lot of accidentals and it really throws my ear off. It’s considered one of the greatest Jazz albums ever, so I’m sure I’m missing some understanding of what he did…just curious, for those that love it, what am I not seeing or understanding that you like about it.

I've been diving deep into Coltrane's masterpiece 'A Love Supreme' lately, and it's got me thinking about how everyone else experiences this iconic album. Do you tend to listen to it as one complete suite, or do you break it down into its individual tracks? And when you do listen, are you more of a sit-back-and-relax type, or do you find yourself standing, moving with the music?
