A Hard Day's Night (album)
A Hard Day's Night: One of the most underrated Beatles albums with George Harrison's 12-string guitar, which would influence folk rock, country rock, and The Byrd's. All the songs are originals.
A master class of early power pop music and probably the first Beatles song that was influenced by Bob Dylan was “I Should Have Known Better.”
Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir. “The Beatles were why we turned from a jug band into a rock ‘n’ roll band,” he said.
I only say it's underrated in The Beatles catalog because it is usually not rated in the top five albums by the band.
The Beatles were an English rock group from 1960-1970. Their influence on the world and today's music is incredible. This subreddit is for discussion, news, memorabilia, and/ or anything else relating to the group. :)

I've noticed that throughout a few of the songs of "A Hard Days Night" A theme emerges of Rejecting the idea of Holding Hands as a sign of love (Examples: "I don't wanna kiss or hold your hand", "I've found that love was more than just holding hands") I find this particularly interesting considering that "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" was still their most popular song. could this in some way represent the Beatles slowly breaking free from the shackles of their earlier silly love songs ;) and moving on to more mature ways of singing about Love in music?
I've always thought of them as albums but I've never seen the movies so I'm curious to see any opinions.
Who knows what sick, twisted thoughts lurks in the hearts of worldbuilders? Worldjerking knows! A warning to all travellers: here be splitting rivers, elven subraces, original characters (do not steal), and magic systems... so many magic systems. Turn back now, or may God have mercy on your soul. tl;dr: this sub is for satirizing trends in the hobby of worldbuilding, as well as those within the broader speculative fiction community.
It's only come to me now holy shit
Mega beatles fan since i discovered them a year ago.
Their early music pre Rubber soul has always been not as good imo. They have some hits i like but most im just indifferent to.
Just wanted to know if a Hard days night is great like i've seen some say
idk i listen to the album and for me it's more of a sad album than a happy one, the beatles invented the "happy music sad lyrics" thing the smiths, rem, the song hey ya by outkast, green day, foster the people etc abused later on
it's clear on songs like if i fell, and i love her, i should have known better, the title track, i'll cry instead etc
We all love music! This is a place where we can discuss albums you think everyone should listen to before they kick the bucket! Please leave album reviews just don't be a dick!
#263 The Beatles- A Hard Day's Night
This is the Beatles first album with all original songs composed by Lennon/Mccartney and it’s a master class on how to write catchy pop songs. It’s hard not not to sing along to the songs on the album. It opened the doors for so many artists. The Early Beatles were a very tight and composed unit. Every note written was meant to entice the audience into mass singalongs. The First two tracks “A Hard Day’s Night” and “I Should have Known Better” are high tempo pop songs and are a great way to open the album.
“If I Fell” and “And I Love Her” has the band experimenting with a more folksy sound that would inspire countless folk rock bands. “Can’t Buy Me Love” is a pop rock standard that would be covered by countless artists but none of them can capture the energy of this version. The secret of the success of the early Beatles records was catchy and amazing harmonies no other rock band could match. George Harrison's us of a Rickenbacker 12 string guitar throughout the album also was influential in the folk-rock music scene. This was The Beatles slowly becoming the best rock band ever and shredding the goofy boy band from Liverpool. I would begin with this album in any Beatles discography dive so you could see the progression that they made in the years to come. This is their first of many 5 star classic albums.

Released 58 years ago today (or at least, the UK version was), four days after the film was released in the UK.
The first side of the album consisted of songs from the film, with the rest of the album consisting of... well... other songs.
The album as a whole is a very John-centered affair, with him taking lead (or co-lead) vocals on 9 of the 13 songs, including these four that I don't think get a lot of attention paid. Which one of them do you like best?

I watched a mono print at the Prince Charles Cinema, and If I Fell, Im Just Happy to Dance with You, I Should've Known Better, And I Love Her and She Loves You are slowed down just like they are in the HD version.
Does anyone know why?

I wonder why Help!'s film is less liked than A Hard Day's Night. I have seen that a few like all three Beatle-verse films just the same, but A Hard Day's Night was a favorite with critics at the time and fans, then and now. What sets AHDN apart from the rest in your opinion?
