How Many Shrines?
How Many Shrines?
General Discussion

Had a game today and was unable to get a judge to check what was suppose to happen. Here's the state of my board: "Go-Shintai of Life's Origin", "Anointed Procession", and "Yenna, Redtooth Regent" are on the board. I then used "Yenna, Redtooth Regent" to create a copy of "Go-Shintai of Life's Origin" as a non-legendary token. Because of "Anointed Procession", two copies of "Go-Shintai of Life's Origin" are created instead. Now, how many 1/1 Token Shines are made? The two possible answers that my group came up with are either 8 or 12, but we were uncertain which.

EDIT: We were so caught up in when the check for the tokens showing that we forgot that the two copies of Life's Origin are also tokens. Thank you for that clarification. It's definitely not 8 or 12.

Hey everyone, i very briefly got into magic a little over a year ago and bought some cards after not playing any tcgs since i was 14. I used to play pokemon, magic and yugioh. I wasnt able to play because of work scheduling so i dropped magic after some card collecting. Well ive recently had that spark reignited after playing arena again these last few weeks. Especially after seeing the fallout collab and warhammer collab from earlier. My schedule now permits me now being able to attend about 1 or 2 games nights a week. Ill defidently will be grabbing some of the Warhammer and Fallout cards. But i just want some guidance on where to start since i havent played in person magic in essentially 8 years. I have a binder, mat, sleeves and deck boxes. Should i just shop for single cards to build a deck? What are some things to avoid? Is the state of the game good? Thanks everyone

Looking for Advice

Ok so i start playing and collecting mtg last summer. Never really play except of some Arena. So i have the basic, some lore, and i watched a lot of Tolarian Community College. Now, i want to try digging and creating some decks. I am not very into Commander, i prefer basic 60 card decks. I dont like making and playing with perfected optimal decks. I want to have some fun, and creating unusall combo, with fun mechanics or themes. For exemple, i had the idea of making 4 black deck, paired with each of other color, for creating the four horsman of apocalyps. Each one with cards for different sets. I hope you see the kind of things i like.

So now, i need some advices. Where to begin ? Do you have idea ? Set or mecanics i should look after ? Or juste fun tips ?
