Jared Harris should fund-raise for Wikipedia

I just visited Wikipedia and I saw one of their fund-raising banners. Having just watched the show I immediately started thinking how perfect it would be to have Jared Harris in (semi)character do a video ad for the 'complete encyclopedia of human knowledge'. That would work for both wiki and the show :D

Appreciation post for the actor Jared Harris (Chernobyl), the quiet television superstar.

This man has been in TV shows like Mad Men, Fringe, The Terror, The Crown, The Expanse, apart from Chernobyl.

His portrayal of all the characters in these fantastic shows is impeccable. There isn't a single flaw in his acting.

Still he doesn't get the fame and recognition he deserves.

I have seen him Mad Men and th Crown before but I became a fan when I saw The Terror. A fantastic show with fantastic actors but Harris steals the show for me. He is an excellent conflicted protagonist who you can easily root for. Then I saw Chernobyl and I hope he gets his due in awards and fame from this show. He's again great and partly responsible for the show's huge success.

Jared Harris is the best actor in Television right now.

I've recently been going through a first watch of "The Crown" and was pleasantly surprised to see Jared Harris as King George VI. (Outside of Matt Smith, I was unaware of any of the casting before I started watching).

Once again, I really found his performance top-notch. In everything I've seen him in he's been far and away the most consistent performers across all of Television. Its a shame he's had no Emmy wins as of yet.

The first thing I remember seeing him in was The Expanse, (as Anderson Dawes) but since then he's easily been one of the best parts of the shows he's been in.. The lead in Chernobyl, The Terror, and as I mentioned The Crown.... and while I haven't seen Mad Men... I know he was well received in that show (one of his criminally low 2 Emmy nominations)..

I haven't seen any of his recent endeavor (Carnival Row) but I hear a lot of positive buzz about the upcoming Apple+ original, "Foundation".. So it seems that he continues to be one of the most in-demand actors that he's been over the last 8 or so years.

I do really wish he'd return to The Expanse for it's "final" season though.

Watching Sherlock Holmes 2009 on HBO Max and I'm like 99% certain they have altered Moriarty's voice to sound closer to Jared Harris

Harris who played the role of Moriarty in the sequel Game of Shadows. However I'm pretty sure he wasn't yet cast in the 2009 movie. In the 2009 movie Moriarty is just a shadowy figure who had a grizzly evil voice prior to the casting of Harris but I'm watching it on HBO Max and now his voice sounds like Harris I swear this never used to be the case. Anyone got the movie on DVD or bluray or digital can confirm if I'm just misrembering?

Jared Harris Is (and Isn’t) His Father’s Son | The actor has emerged from the shadow of his father, Richard Harris, with memorable performances in series like “Mad Men” and “Chernobyl.” Next up is the sci-fi epic “Foundation”
