I can see from the variety article that Beanie Feldstein is leaving Funny Girl and has been replaced by Lea Michele. This seems to be a wildly unpopular choice and I’ve seen some random tweets about Lea Michele being unable to read. Can anyone shed any light on this?

I saw the post that “Wait in the Wings” made following his video about all the drama with Funny Girl addressing why nothing was included about Beanie’s family investing in the show and that she was “bought into the role”. He had mentioned he couldn’t find any actual evidence anywhere of this being true, something I’ve seen others mention as well.
All this leads me to wondering, the rumor is so strong that folks casually reference it as fact now since it’s constantly mentioned, where on earth did that rumor begin? Does anyone know? Like when did that start being circulated, whom did it come from, how was it able to carry this much steam without evidence?
Surely I can’t be the only one wondering.
Thanks to anyone who can offer any insight!

With a new movie she’s starring in called “The Humans”, the revival of Funny Girl in 2022, and her new show American Crime Story: Impeachment, I think Beanie Feldstein should host SNL this season. Her brother, Jonah Hill, could make a cameo.

I can’t find an official number but I want to know if she’s actually missed a lot or if her absences have been amplified because of the drama around Funny Girl?

I have Funny Girl tickets for Friday April 29 and apparently, according to seat geek, she won't be performing that day + a few other dates around then? Anyone know why, I'm a little confused. She's the big draw here and the show would've only opened recently before the 29th?
I don't really care, understudies are just as, if not more talented than the cast members they fill in for in my opinion, but I'm just curious. And I know, reddit, y'all think Beanie sucks and that Funny Girl sucks, I know, I'm just curious as to why she wouldn't be performing that weekend is all.
Thank you!
EDIT: Thanks for the answers, I guess it was a bit of a stupid question. I missed the notifcation when I got my tickets that she wasn't going to be in the performance, but the tickets were a steal so whatever.
