Finally, Ratchet & Clank!

[–]kpeds45 579 points580 points  (98 children)

Been waiting for this one, it's stunning visually

[–]WyrmHero1944 350 points351 points  (79 children)

[–]caasi615 132 points133 points  (13 children)

I almost bought it yesterday! Patience wins

[–][deleted] 22 points23 points  (2 children)

8.99 for watch dog I almost pulled the trigger yesterday

[–]Foxy02016YT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still a nice price gotta love it

[–]dslpharmer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I almost bought it when it was in sale a couple weeks ago, but couldn’t remember my password and was too lazy to order on my phone.

[–]diesel_toaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought it years ago. Barely played. I’m stupid.

[–]ikebeattina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got Damn it I bought it 3 weeks ago

[–]squatdead 379 points380 points  (56 children)

Oh this sub lmao.

“Hey r/patientgamers ! Skyrim is on sale for $9.99 today, I was thinking nows the time to pull the trigger!”

“Don’t bother. In a year or two we could see $8.99. I have been waiting for 12 years and can’t justify these ridiculous prices”

Edit: It appears I have upset the patient gaming community. I will respond to them in 8 years with 10% off my comment.

[–]MrWally 184 points185 points  (10 children)

No. That's /r/GameDeals.

/r/patientgamers is probably one of the best gaming discussion subreddits I've seen around here. It's legitimately great.

[–]jda404 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Lol you didn't upset anyone, you just clearly have never been in that subreddit or haven't spent much time there. It's a good, overall nice community with good posts.

[–]gabrielleraul 32 points33 points  (2 children)

You're stunning visually

[–]SectorIsNotClear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

oh, stop it... you're visually stunning. Silly goose!

[–]420praiseItkek 102 points103 points  (11 children)

That one’s on me boys, bought it 2 weeks ago on sale Lmao

[–]welcomethrillh0 12 points13 points  (2 children)

Thank you for your sacrifice.

Edit: I say this but I’ve already played and sold Ratchet & Clank. Just thought though, actually quite a good way of doing it that. Buying PS5 games full price (or you know, the cheapest deal at launch), then I’ll complete the games, get the platinum, then sell them.

Only just clicked that when I do that, I end up owning them again cause eventually they’ll come to PS Plus, so I’m only really spending like £20 - £25 to play a first party game at launch (after selling it after getting the platinum).

[–]UrbanRedFox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you just wait 3 months and play more ps+ games, some of the games you would have bought get cheaper - then play, platinum and sell. I bought God of War R for £30 (eBay) and it was £32 to trade it back to CEX lol.

[–]CargoArise 47 points48 points  (6 children)

I've been close to pulling the trigger on buying this too many times to count but kept telling myself surely it'll make the catalog in the next three months or so. Finally!

[–]fishling[🍰] 15 points16 points  (1 child)

Me too, except I didn't think it would ever be on PS+.

I learned my lesson about buying games, even on sale, that I am not planning to play right away, with the FF7 remake. if the go on sale once, they will go on sale again. Still haven't played that one either...

[–]christianrxd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started doing that a few years ago and my backlog is a lot lighter for it. There's no point in buying three games in one sale if I only have time to play one. By the time I'm done with that one, there will be another sale and the other two games will potentially be cheaper.

[–]AntiRacismDoctor 76 points77 points  (22 children)

I was so close to buying it a few months ago. And then I told myself, it will eventually be on PS+ and that I need to just be patient. Sure enough....

[–]SkaBonez 16 points17 points  (1 child)

I bought it on one of the winter sales. It’s still sitting in my backlog. Rip

[–]signs23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Im also happy to not have to use my disc anymore. Its nice that some games get into PS+ and now i could easy share that game with others.

[–]WhoShotMrBoddy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I actually bought it physically back when I first got my PS5 because it was on sale for like 40 bucks around Black Friday. It’s so amazing. I need to give it another go here soon

[–]ruebenj791 984 points985 points  (96 children)

Ratchet and Clank is so good. And it’s basically a showcase for all the PS5 features. Ray tracing, 60fps, 40fps (with 120hz displays), 30fps, 3D Audio, full Dualsense support, fast loading, activity cards, and they even used the game help feature too.

[–]Huntersteve 339 points340 points  (18 children)

On fidelity mode it looks like your playing a Pixar movie.

[–]pcakes13 212 points213 points  (7 children)

I’d say it looks that way on performance mode too. No matter how you slice it, the game looks amazing.

[–]Stoibs 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Agreed, anything less was a stuttery mess for me, 60fps looked like a Pixar movie both visually and in motion.

[–]Dunge 11 points12 points  (1 child)

That was my description of Kena Bridge of Spirits

[–]explos1onshurt 8 points9 points  (1 child)

What’s hilarious is that people have been saying this since A Crack in Time. But the aesthetic of the series does always hold up longer than its realistic counterparts

[–]_9dee5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember "it's like playing a pixar movie" being written across the back of the PS3 box for Tools of Destruction!

[–]Sour_Gummies 67 points68 points  (30 children)

40 fps is my favorite feature from this gen, I wish every game had it.

[–]NapsterKnowHow 48 points49 points  (3 children)

VRR is my favorite. Allows unlocked frame rates from 60-120!

[–]reallynotnick 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Yeah VRR really kicked up all the modes another notch, I played through the unlocked 40 so it was like 45fps plus or minus 5fps, but it was a tough choice as all the modes were great!

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm an 80s gamer, so I don't mind fps too much so long as it's stable. That said, vrr is pretty slick tech.

[–]ruebenj791 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Same, played through both Burning Shores and Uncharted 4 at 40fps recently and really enjoyed it

[–]nichijouuuu 10 points11 points  (6 children)

So what happens with 40 fps?

You get a much better and balanced graphics than Performance mode without having to drop to 30 fps?

[–]Sour_Gummies 13 points14 points  (3 children)

Yeah the graphics are super similar to the 30 fps modes while feeling much better to play.

[–]INS0MNI5 26 points27 points  (22 children)

Is it necessary to play other Ratchet and Clanks or YouTube any previous storylines before playing? Wanna try it out but never played any of the previous ones

[–]Bad_Robot_ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

No its not necessary. Stories are always simple.

[–]ruebenj791 25 points26 points  (3 children)

I don’t think so. Only one I played before was Crack in Time on PS3 and some of the PS4 remake and was able to enjoy Rift Apart just fine. Insomniac knew this was gonna be a lot of people’s first Ratchet game. I bet there’s references to the old games, but this one has it’s own story

[–]INS0MNI5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay nice, good to know!

[–]tljoshh 6 points7 points  (5 children)

As others have said, you don't need to. BUT if you have the time, you should absolutely play Ratchet & Clank (PS4), it was really fun. A Crack in Time is an improvement in every way on that one though, so if you are going to play it, do it before you play the newest entry in the franchise. You won't want to go back after playing it because it's so good.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was my first ratchet and clank game ever and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The relationships between the characters are simple and the story is standalone, as far as I know.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it’s self contained. They make references to old games but that’s more fan service and nothing important.

It wouldn’t hurt to play through the PS4 one though, just because it’s on PS+ collection, is a great game but Rift Apart is that much better that if you play it first, the PS4 game may not feel as good.

[–]BS_500 2 points3 points  (1 child)

As a die-hard fan of the series: no, it's not necessary. There is a bit of recap you can find in the beginning of the game, but it really just boils down to blow shit up with a space-fox-man.

There are weapons you'd recognize, enemies and locales you'd be familiar with, but it's not really necessary. Just hop in and enjoy!

You could also check out The Golden Bolt on YouTube for recaps of literally every Ratchet and Clank.

[–]INS0MNI5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the honest opinion and information! Good to know I can just jump right into Rift Apart. I’ll keep that in mind about the Golden Bolt recaps as well

[–]PM_ME_YOUR_MONTRALS 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Do I need to play any of the other games in the series?

[–]ruebenj791 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah, Insomniac knew this was gonna be a lot of people’s first Ratchet game

[–]rockna 561 points562 points  (11 children)

Will I be able to play and enjoy Bus Simulator 21 without knowing the backstory of the first 20 games or do I need to watch a summary on YouTube first?

[–]Sneeches 123 points124 points  (1 child)

Better watch 600 hrs of bus simulator from previous games to get caught up.

[–]hrakkari 20 points21 points  (0 children)

That’ll get you covered. On one bus model.

[–]Carb122 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The spin off is worth checking out, it's called Bang Bus.

[–]Momentarmknm 25 points26 points  (1 child)

The good news is that there are only 5 previous Bus Simulator titles, so it won't take you long to catch up on the story. You really don't want to miss out on knowing the backstory of Quiet Passenger, or understanding why Driver Friedrich is skittish around 4-way stops near gas stations.

If you're looking for a good recap video I recommend this one

Holy shit, this might be the best month so far for me.

[–]Chutzvah 66 points67 points  (2 children)

Ratchet and Clank, Dishonored, Tomb Raider. I''ma be set for a while

[–]gigglefarting 10 points11 points  (1 child)

And Bus Simulator 21!

[–]Accessx_xDenied 2 points3 points  (0 children)

all these heathens are getting excited for dumb indie shit like dishonored and tomb raider while GOTY masterpieces like bus simulator 2 are gracing us with their presence while nobody makes a peep. sad times.

[–]JRHartllly 12 points13 points  (2 children)

By a country mile, I e always wanted to play the dishonoured games plus ratchet and clank, amazing.

[–]wrycon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No kidding - as I scrolled down I was like “sweet!” “And that one? Sweet!” “And this one? Sweet!” Really good month.

[–]Shmeeesh 53 points54 points  (7 children)

Lake was a delightful surprise - it’s a really chill game where you deliver mail to the people living around a lake and slowly get to know them.

Watching the story and relationships unfold over the 4-5 hour runtime was a lot of fun, and I’ve played through the whole thing twice.

[–]ETERNAL_DALMATIAN 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lake is a charming, wholesome zen experience. I just wish the soundtrack was bigger! I ended up playing my own music through the Spotify app in the background after I heard the same song over and over.

[–]DigitallyDetained 23 points24 points  (3 children)

Can’t wait to try Thmesia and Lake. Sound fall looks good too.

[–]NoLastNameForNow 69 points70 points  (16 children)

Microsoft has weirdly been one of the biggest supporters of Extra and Premium the past few months.

[–]MrBoliNica 70 points71 points  (7 children)

Most likely these are the results of old deals Bethesda made with Sony regarding ps plus vs new deals they may have struck

[–]Gaelic_Flame 8 points9 points  (6 children)

It's weird, because many of these games were on PS Now before, but were removed shortly after Microsoft/Bethesda deal got announced. Now we are getting them back for some reason.

[–]Bolt_995 24 points25 points  (3 children)

*Bethesda

Definitely some longtime agreements have come into effect here.

However, I hope Psychonauts 2 gets added on the service in the future. Microsoft has given access to Minecraft Dungeons as a PS Plus Essential title recently.

[–]DZLars 63 points64 points  (35 children)

There is no reason for me to buy a game ever again. I fear the moment the subscription prices go up though

[–]marciamakesmusic 67 points68 points  (13 children)

That's the plan, move everything to subscription models and then jack up the prices once no one actually owns their media anymore. Then we're completely at the whims of mega corporations

[–]chewwydraper 21 points22 points  (2 children)

move everything to subscription models and then jack up the prices

Yep all you have to do is look at Netflix to see the future of subscription models.

[–]Mounta1nK1ng 16 points17 points  (8 children)

It does make it really hard to justify buying new now, unless it's something I REALLY want to play right away, or a gift that will be game-shared by me anyway.

I thought I had a big backlog of unplayed games before. Now I see games that I wanted to play come up on Extra, one after another, and I still haven't gotten around to any of them. It's like an infinite backlog now, and all really good games!

[–]DZLars 11 points12 points  (5 children)

I just started the mass effect trilogy. The next few months will be redirected straight to my backlog...

[–]Anotheraccount_exe[🍰] 23 points24 points  (5 children)

I'm not going to wait 2 -3 years for games like Ragnarok or Spiderman 2 when it comes out.

[–]Danceshinefly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Rune factory and SoS: FoMT!? Yayy

[–]Impaled_ 10 points11 points  (2 children)

Don't sleep on Sakuna!!!

[–]clubdon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love that game

[–]aldah42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

had it for months on wishlist, glad I've waited :)

[–]yanggmd 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Any of these recommend for Co-op?

[–]xSk0rpi0n 53 points54 points  (4 children)

back to back to back to back to back banger line-up

[–]miguelnog1 88 points89 points  (9 children)

Ratched & Clank and Thymesia. This is a great month for me!

[–]Firaxyiam 28 points29 points  (6 children)

Ah, yes, the bastard child of Bloodborne and Sekiro, I had a blast with it, kind of lower on the technical side of things at times but man, what a fun game!

[–]miguelnog1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's great to hear!

[–]TaylorKindaFunny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, anyone who enjoyed either of those games will enjoy Thymesia. It's definitely a quick and dirty fusion of both.

[–]Cheechers23 525 points526 points  (61 children)

Ratchet and Clank is such a fun and incredible game, with the biggest shortcoming I felt being the length of the game making it not the best value buy at full price. Would HIGHLY recommend it to everyone who hasn’t played it that is on PS+ Extra.

[–]frikkinfrakk 130 points131 points  (12 children)

Just got my PS5 with PS+ Extra, downloaded most of the PS+ Collection before it ended yesterday and now I'm getting Rift Apart?! Literally couldn't have picked a better time to switch up from Xbox!

[–]WTFOutOfUsernames 74 points75 points  (11 children)

I got my PS5 at launch after missing the last generation of consoles entirely (my last consoles were PS3 and XBox360). I've only purchased Miles Morales Spiderman, everything else I've played has been from PS+. It's incredible to me how many high-quality games I have available to play. It's taking me forever to work through my catalog due to limited time to play, but I've completed the following so far (not Platinum, single playthrough):

  • Horizon Zero Dawn (playing Forbidden West now)
  • SW Jedi Fallen Order
  • Ghost of Tsushima
  • NFS Heat
  • Spider-Man (original and Miles Morales versions)
  • Guardians of the Galaxy
  • Red Dead Redemption II
  • The Last of Us Part II
  • God of War (2018)
  • Wolfenstein New Order
  • Uncharted 4

It's an amazing time to be a gamer, especially for one who has the entire PS4 catalog to play for the first time.

[–]frikkinfrakk 12 points13 points  (5 children)

Yeah I've been on team Xbox since 2003? So this is my first PS console since the PS2 when I was a kid so now I have two generations PLUS this current one to work through. But with the way they've laid out their best titles under the subscription (which I would get anyways) it makes getting the console so much sweeter. But yes, the only thing now is I wish I didn't work 50 hour weeks so I could get more game time in lol.

[–]funguyshy 2 points3 points  (4 children)

lol I wonder what the hell was Phil Spencer thinking when saying no one is going to buy an xbox over a ps5 even if starfield is 11/10

Well here it is Phill, people would buy xbox if you pull out good games

[–]matdan12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, I switched to PS5 from Xbox, and it was because there was no reason to go next gen.

[–]Kardinalus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is almost completely me. Only game I bought was Hogwarts Legacy as a present for my wife and Miles Morales was included with my PS5.

Every time I almost finish a game the next great one is already available at PS+ extra.

[–][deleted] 71 points72 points  (16 children)

I suppose it's an unpopular opinion but I'll always prefer shorter games like R&C over games that last 20 hours+. I genuinely have a hard time completing the latter. It's why I absolutely loved Elden Ring, it managed to keep me interested in exploring the world even though it's an extremely long game. Most games don't really do that for me, especially linear games.

Rift Apart was the perfect length for me.

[–]Shoddy-Team-7199 26 points27 points  (5 children)

Used to be an unpopular opinion but not anymore

[–]AwesomePossum_1 9 points10 points  (3 children)

These days when people refer to short they refer to 15 hours, longer than LoU1. It used to be that when people referred to short it was like 6. Now that was controversial.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To me it's really genre based. I don't mind long RPGs, but a shooter or action game gets stale pretty quick.

[–]rcanhestro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

depends on the price though.

if a game is 5-6h long, i'm okay paying 15-20$ for it, but i'm not gonna pay 60-70 for a game that i can finish in the day i bought it.

[–]Legend1138 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. I feel most game become repetitive after about 20 hours.

[–]doc_birdman 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I’ve said it a dozen times in this subreddit: it’s like playing in a Pixar movie. The entire opening sequence literally had my jaw on the floor.

[–]youthcanoe 26 points27 points  (10 children)

Yeah I bought it at 50 new and I thought that was pretty good value. Took like 12 or so hours for the platinum

[–]Sorcerious 12 points13 points  (2 children)

Or we need to stop valuing games with playtime.

[–]EdgeAlterNation 407 points408 points  (37 children)

Guess who bought Rift Apart only 2 weeks ago?

Spoiler alert: it was me.

[–]glassjaw01 171 points172 points  (1 child)

Thank you for your sacrifice

[–]irishcheesemonger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I nearly did as well when it went on sale before Easter but I knew holding out was the way to go. Learned from my last burn, this will be your moment!

[–]Poseiydon 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Ratchet & Clank is a huge W

[–]robbiethedarling 63 points64 points  (6 children)

So many good releases, but if you like cozy slice of life games please don’t sleep on Lake. Far from the best but I played it on GamePass periodically over the course of a few months and it was a great way to wind down and manage anxieties.

[–]SentryGamer42 17 points18 points  (1 child)

Lake was awesome, delivering mail around a small lakeside town whilst figuring out what to do with your life was super wholesome.

[–]Caitlan90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s the one I’m most excited for!

[–]Gourd-geousTale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I spent so long in that game waiting for the other shoe to drop and there be some big dark twist - great game though, super relaxing

[–]lokdok 22 points23 points  (1 child)

Thymesia baby.. Hell yes!!

[–]anonymousUTguy 56 points57 points  (5 children)

Man, y’all really gotta change these titles to “premium or extra catalog lineup.” Every time I see these, I think it’s the free games of the month.

[–]Loyal_Darkmoon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wait... is Ratched & Clank not the free Game of the month?

[–]Brighty182 45 points46 points  (3 children)

Don’t sleep on Thymesia if you like souls likes. It’s a lot like bloodborne and has a good flow. Pretty good customization with sub weapons and stats too.

[–]BassMasterClassic 6 points7 points  (1 child)

I just wish it was longer.

[–]Raziel66 25 points26 points  (0 children)

That's what she said

[–]elscardo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a bit janky, but I enjoyed my time with it.

[–]deathbunnyy 77 points78 points  (9 children)

At this point, I think the catalog is definitely a game pass rival. So much good stuff on there, and personally I think it is outright better.

[–]MolotovMan1263 42 points43 points  (2 children)

There is a better collection of first party games available on the Extra tier than Microsoft has on GamePass. Perhaps not quite as many, but the quality is leagues ahead.

PS+ Extra has quietly outperformed GamePass easily in the last 6 months or so.

[–]TheLordMist 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For me, Demon's Souls and Rift Apart are more than enough to make the PS Extra better than GamePass. Quality over quantity.

[–]DevineAaron92 13 points14 points  (6 children)

I fuckin KNEW Watch Dogs would be on PS plus. Not 3 hours ago saw it was on sale for a tenner. Thought I'd buy it, but then it's so cheap it might be on Ps Plus soon. Didn't think it would be THIS soon lol.

[–]dman45103 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ubi is a huge supporter of subscription services

[–]aggron306 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Oooh pursuit force nice

[–]TheGinger_ThatCould 13 points14 points  (1 child)

Was this close 🤏 to buying Lake for a wind down game at the end of the day. Seems like a nice relaxing game. So happy I didn’t buy it though. Thank you to whoever did 🫡

[–]BddyGrease 45 points46 points  (5 children)

I just upgraded to extra for only $10 for the next 5 months in hoping rachet and clank was going to show up on there. Looks like my gamble paid off.

[–]Ash-lee_reddit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ratchet and clank let’s gooooooo

[–]Atroxo 10 points11 points  (6 children)

I know Ratchet and Clank is a big one, but I truly cannot recommend the Dishonored trilogy enough. Such good games, and the first game’s DLC’s are a must.

[–]karlware 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never played the 2nd, always meant to, amd now no excuse.

[–]Parking-Evening-7811 9 points10 points  (0 children)

yessss ive been waiting for rift apart

[–]FartBakedBaguette 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart was the first game I’ve ever platinum’d :)

It was a great game.

[–]Mrheadshot0 18 points19 points  (4 children)

PLEASE tell me somebody played pursuit force on the psp growing up lol. Such a good game I might upgrade to the extra just to play that😭 it was so fun jumping from car to car and the combat was decent.

[–]JamesEvanBond 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For sure, such a unique title. Played it so much on PSP, will definitely be purchasing it for PS5.

[–]Caign 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. But I will be checking it out now because of your comment. Sounds like I missed out on a gem.

[–]lezalioth 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Don't sleep on sakuna of rice and ruin. It's not a game for everyone, but for those who like it they'll like it a lot.

[–]DoIrllyneeda_usrname 16 points17 points  (1 child)

Holy shit, I was this close to buying Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Dishonored 2, and Rift Apart all throughout the last six months

[–]UlanInek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dishonored 2 is soooo good! Might play it again, especially the expansion they’ve also added

[–]asmrkage 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Is humanity also the vr version?

[–]STO_Ken 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep!

[–]AntiqueSoulll 7 points8 points  (2 children)

From the first day I bought PS Plus I am in constant extacsy.

I bought Series X with 1-Year Gamepass and then added 2 year + with 1 month "ultimate" tactic in total of 3 year gamepass ultimate(beacuse it was cheap in my country), and at the end of this year my subscribtion ends. For these 3 years I just literally played Halo: Infinite, Forza and Guardians of Galaxy. All the other games were old, mediocre at best and I already consumed best of them on my PC for million times.

But PS Plus is something else. It just keeps giving. Tons of Sony exclusives that I missed at the end of Ps4 era, quality AAA games all over, Ps Classic catalogue, Sony's own PS Plus exc catalogue... that 20-22 games that were given to us free. It is just un-ending consuming.

Yesterday I just opened my Xbox to see what is new in the flow and after 30 mins of just scrolling through gamepass I got bored and shut it down.

And people are claming things like "yeah Xbox in a bad position but Gamepass is the best deal in the market in terms of value" What ? How ? All the games that it contains are just moldy, rusted. PS PLUS surpasses it in every aspect.

Do i miss something here, how come people compare Gamepass and PS Plus ? I just feel scammed by Gamepass. I played nothing.

[–]Xeccess 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They called me a madman for saying PS+ is better than GP 🤷‍♂️

[–]Joeeskratos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah its kind of sad what is happening to gamepass I have it too on PC and there's no new games on gamepass only 6 indie per month compared to ps plus each month

[–]Giraffipus 6 points7 points  (1 child)

That list is lookin pretty stacked. I do wish they would boost up their classics though. Sony has such a huge library to choose from but their classic section is pretty underwhelming.

[–]neverw1ll 6 points7 points  (1 child)

I bought Rift Apart on sale for around $30. I'm not even mad, it's a great game. I'm glad more people will get to enjoy it!

[–]Aneeki 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Can we make it a rule for Extra/Premium to be in the title…

[–]Xerosnake90 32 points33 points  (1 child)

Yet another amazing Sony Exclusive on their subscription platform. Sony's killing it

[–]Created_By_InGen 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yo! Friends of mineral town! Hell yeah love that game as a teen

[–]chickennugget2077 4 points5 points  (0 children)

W

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Looking forward to playing Rift Apart again. Also wanted to play WD Legion but didn't wanna pay for it. Good month.

[–]DeadlyName 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have some of the highlights on disc! I need to get on that Rift Apart have yet to play it!

Other than that it would be interesting to play WD: Legion and some of the PSP classics Pursuit Force and Syphon Filter for the very first time!\

What a banger month really!

[–]Acrobatic-Dig-161 10 points11 points  (0 children)

insane

in the last 5 months there were more than 100 games entering the service.

this month 26 games.

I can't have time for so many games

[–]zephyrinthesky28 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ooh I'd been waiting for a Steam sale on Rain World. Not anymore lol

[–]FullmetalJun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh yes baby. Waited so long for it. I knew Rift Apart would join

[–]-TheMiracle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

PS Plus Extra is honestly a great deal and it should definitely not be called “Extra” because it fails to describe how awesome it is. It doesn’t stop me from buying and supporting new games but let’s me play games that I wouldn’t have otherwise purchased. Win-win.

[–]MrFrogTheFrogMan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Oh my god they’re cooking

[–]Immediate-Unit6311 9 points10 points  (12 children)

Might try WD: Legions.

I haven't played since the original.

[–]canad1anbacon 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Im gonna play legion just to explore the city. I hear its a really well done rendition of London

[–]LCHMD 8 points9 points  (0 children)

WD2 is actually a great game and by far the best in the series. Legions is mid sadly.

[–]Ptaryn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Legion can be fun, especially when exploring the city. However, Watch Dogs 2 has a much better storyline.

[–]Beraldovisck 4 points5 points  (2 children)

I'd like them to add some good sports games. The ones in the catalog right now are all garbage.

[–]Wisdomseekr79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn this a pretty good month.

[–]jeremylamb12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I judged based off the image and was like "Ratchet & Clank hell yeah" but then i scrolled through and just many bangers not pictured.

[–]hypespud 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Killer lineup

Dishonored 2 is my favourite arkane game

Ratchet ps5 is sublime too

Excellent month 😎

[–]Irateasshole 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just got a wheel and am low key looking forward to bus simulator 😂😂

[–]bigmac379 3 points4 points  (0 children)

how long people gonna say the ps sub service is garbage compared to gamepass? fix the premium value proposition and its not even close imo

[–]BJgobbleDix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Im not mistaken, Humanity is a Day 1 release.

Sony does seem to be trying to get at least some indie or mid level games as a Day 1 each quarter on to their subscription service.

[–]Extension-Lunch5948 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Damn! I switch on the perfect moment it seems. Had the series s since the beginning of this new gen, and checked out as much games as gamepass had to offer , then it was time to come back to my good old PlayStation world , and just when i switched , Xbox gets beaten up by crap launches and a sad catalog of releases, while ps is getting on a high peak .

I still get blown away what this beast shows on my tv, and if I hear you guys , I’m gonna be blown away again with this Ratchet and clank game.

But in the end, nothing beats bus simulator 😅

[–]mrtars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same boat here, had a Series S from launch and getting a PS5 this week. Landed on all fours lol.

[–]PerpetualStride 5 points6 points  (10 children)

Why do these titles always omit extra or premium

[–]Sensitive-Judge713 5 points6 points  (1 child)

R/C

found my new plat hunt

[–]ssk1996 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Finally gonna check out Rift Apart!

[–]twovles31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I figured Ratchet and Clank was going to be in next months releases announced in the playstation showcase. Anyone that hasn't played it, is in for a treat! A few more Bethedsa games, are there any games left we haven't gotten from Activision/Zenimax?

[–]Tcool14032001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally today I was contemplating about getting Shadow of Tomb Raider and it's part of Extra now. So happy!

[–]TobyOrNotTobyEU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES R&C

[–]Avid_Hiker98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

R&C is great for anyone who hasn’t played it yet. Also has fantastic visuals.

Tomb Raiders are a nice addition. Rise is my favorite of the group.

Only game I haven’t played that I’m looking forward to is Thymesia.

Everything else is too niche. Overall, good month tho!

[–]dirtydovedreams 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Cool, I kept reading this game really goes all out with PS5 features, looking forward to Rathcet and Clonk

[–]Vespaeelio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh sweet nice picks plus looking to try humanity looks insane lol

[–]ManufacturerWest1156 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank god I waited. I’ve almost bought the ratchet and clank game like 3-4 times in the last 3 months

[–]TippsAttack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

man all the Watch Dog games and I just can't bring myself to play any of them.

[–]Pgruk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great games!!!! Stocked for a psvr2 in the library, never played ratchet and Clank - and always wanted to play Legion. enjoyed the previous game but never wanted to spend money on this one cos the reviews sucked.

[–]Lobh24 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Yooooo R&C is free just in time, finally got a console a week ago lmao

[–]jarbarf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bus Simulator? LETS GOOOO

[–]bapuji_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Lake".....nice

[–]HayatoKongo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amazing month. Something for everyone.

[–]JRHartllly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Class line up

[–]offbeatblink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I should probably finish my run of the Ratchet & Clank PS3 era.

[–]StarTruckNxtGyration 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m am PUMPED for Lake, and I don’t care who knows it!

[–]ophaus 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Humanity looks goofy and interesting... can't wait to dive in.

[–]Echonightlight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ps plus extra is so good!

[–]Aldavis001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of bangers this month

[–]canal_boys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best deal in gaming?
