As the title suggests, I want to buy a new processor.
I need it to be a reliable processor for streaming and recording since my i5-6600k is about to beat his final hour.
I found that these two processors have similar characteristics, with the new generation (5900x) having better single core performance and therefor better fps in games.
But the 3950x is still a very good processor and you can pick it up for a good price here in italy!
Any advice is much appreciated,
Thanks a lot!

Hi, I'm new to mining (had mined for fun using my Ryzen 7 2700u lappy) and I have just pulled the trigger and bought an AMD Ryzen 9 3950x system to mine RTM.
However, do I need to tune my 3950x? Tune as in tuning the efficiency. I understand the part for cpuminer tuning. Just that I tried searching around but it seems most tuning is done on Monero mining only.
The system specs will be as follows:-
-
AMD Ryzen 9 3950x
-
Gigabyte B550 motherboard
-
AIO 240mm watercooling
-
Gskill Flare X 3200Mhz 8gb x 2 (will try to overclock to 3600mhz)
-
nVidia GF 1030 2GB
-
500gb nvme
-
600w PSU
-
Windows 10
Any kind soul to advise me? Thanks.
